When you are craving for foods and also need a neat and clean beautiful place to eat. Tongi is a best choice with delicious Indian foods and a peaceful atmosphere. And they have wonderful team.
Tried Tongi tonight for the first time. Walked in with no reservation on a busy evening and was greeted warmly and seated immediately. Impeccable service from the start and throughout. A fantastic menu of classic favourites alongside some unique dishes. Highly recommend the Lamb Bhuna main, Banarasi
The food was nice, especially the lamb. The service was okay as the food arrived late some waiters didn't have any knowledge of the menu. The manager was very friendly. He was the only one who provided good service. The other staff were poor.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London. High quality materials used in food. Taste of the food is authentic.
My friends and I had a pleasant experience at Tongi, the food was tasty and the staff were very friendly and the general atmosphere was nice.
Two of our dishes were vegetable based curries which despite being tasty did seem to be full of mixed frozen style vegetables which I feel is lazy for a rest
I met Masood, the general manager here, he made sure we had a great stay. Thank you Masood for everything. The food was really nice: I suggest the lamb shank, it's delicious!
Great new Indian place in Balham. Went there on a Thursday night and ordered the Samosa Chaat as a starter to share and then one of the dahls and grilled paneer as a main. Food was delicious and beautifully arranged 😋 Service and ambience very friendly and welcoming! We'll be back for more 😇

Food was delicious! Staff couldn’t be more attentive but left you to your food and drink but catered to when needed.
Will definitely be recommending to all and visiting again; if you’re in the area it’s a must visit!

Really great curry - jalfrezi was spicy but not blow your socks off, naan was good and buttery, tikka masala creamy with a hint of spice and lamb bhuna was tender and delicious.
Good atmosphere, busy and popular.

A fantastic meal at Tongi! The butter chicken and lamb rogan were delicious, as well as the starters. The food was light and tasty, and not at all greasy! The staff were lovely, especially Moshed and Shia. We will be back!
I grabbed a takeout from Tongi. Prepared fast and was really nice. Would like to eat in next time as the decor is very nice and it has a lovely atmosphere.
Abdul & Masood have created a beautiful bar and restaurant where they previously ran Thali & Pickle. There’s a new menu with small dishes including Chaat. Such a welcoming and friendly team. I love the lighting, it’s so cosy.
Food was excellent arrived at 19.30 and felt rushed. Otherwise good food and pleasant staff. Restaurant very quite and our party of 5 were squashed up on table by the door.
I think the staff just need to think a bit more about customer experience
Great new restaurant in Balham. Very authentic and delicious food, plus a bonus that it’s reasonably priced. The waiters were super friendly and efficient. Lovely restaurant inside too. Would definitely go back!
