The food here is really good, we've just had pizzas, they were fresh homemade and really tasty. Looks like it would be a good place to watch sports too as it has a huge media screen. Definitely recommend a visit.

Excellent clean, inviting pub. The food was well good. A lot of TV screens I bet it's good to go and watch a sporting event there. They have specials most days, Monday was pizza and a drink. Give it a go, I liked and would go back

Came here to watch the 100 series, massive screen and loads of others dotted around the pub, so great to watch sports. We ate here too which was good, the burger was lovely. I'd definitely recommend a visit, we will be back.

We had a brilliant afternoon at the Tappers, first time we'd been to Monday bingo. Really good crowd of people taking part, the landlord made it a good laugh too. We ate after, we all had pizzas, they were really good. We'll be back next week, thanks for a lovely afternoon.

I recommend this pub in Long Eaton . The food is great and the staff are friendly. It gets busy at weekends, and the beer garden is a good place when you have kids. Not far from the town center.

Helpful large screen — Carling £4.15 filled to the brim. Great start to a classic night out in Long Eaton FYI is every night. Positive bus routes a further walk into town and supportive customers always in the area. Smoking area also pool table too, a broad place.

Lived within a stones throw of this place for years, through various management and I still keep coming back.
It's a decent local, the regulars are nice, food is never bad, the prices are reasonable, the Guinness never tastes like a wet dog smells (why this happens I'll never know but some places struggle with this revolting phenomenon) and lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the staff have always been tiptop. Hats off to Jamie for taking care of us on this visit.
Yeah ok, it's a Marston's pub so it's never going to be fine dining while a chisel-jawed mixologist effortlessly throws a perfect cocktail together but for what it is, this place does it well enough to keep me coming back.

I haven't been back here since COVID. Oh my word it's amazing. The food has definitely changed and it's perfect. The service was wonderful (thank you Jamie). If you haven't been then I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to going back.

Decided to have a drive out and came across this place, lovely beer garden... ordered food which was the 8oz rump steak and asked for it to be cooked medium rare, when it arrived to us we ended up taking it back as it was blue... you have to pay for mushrooms which was an absolute joke for the amount you got! No didn’t eat all of my meal even tho it wasnt expensive but that’s not the point... we didn’t even get did you enjoy your meal when collecting our plates as the answe would of been NO..... lovely lady that served us tho

Because of the sugar tax, this pub has now decided to get rid of the diet drinks so customers are now forced to purchase the 'sugar versions.' Also someone needs to have a chat with whoever is in charge during the day as to what constitutes 'background music.' Far too loud.If you want a fairly peaceful drink and meal, this place is not for you.

Went here for lunch today after visiting five more eating places last week Mon/Friday we decided best food for the price around Long Eaton but today was disappointing. I ordered the Stake and Ale pie "I wonder why its called that because all I got in my slice of pie was two meager cubes of meat. The pastry was more like a suet very stogy, in fact I left half of it on my plate. I did point out to the waiter when I was asked that the pie lacked substance, nothing came of my remark apart from I'll inform the chef. Pudding was up to standard though...

There wasn't many people in when we arrived. We found a table and went to bar to order food where we waited 10 mind as there seemed to be a conversation with most of staff in the kitchen. The other lady working was busy clearing tables from lunch time rush. When the other lady noticed a few waiting to be served at the bar there was no apology and she snapped at me for ordering my food too fast? Thought this was out of order she was rather rude. Don't know if it was a bad day or what but no matter if your having a bad day you should always give good customer service. However the good was average and was quickly served to us which we was pleased with.

After a long day moving house all me and the family could think of was food!
First, we needed a car park big enough to accommodate the car and trailer as we were too tired to unhook.
Second, we needed good value food.
Third, we needed it to be local.
Tappers Harker is friendly, accommodating and pulled out all of the stops to ensure all of our orders arrived together even though one of the orders was made later than the rest.
The food? Well I had the baby back ribs which were tender, tasty and tantalisingly smoky marinated with the juiciest barbecue sauce.
Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I went into the pub last night to watch the football, what a fantastic place it is. The landlord Simon is such friendly fella, must be because he is a northerner. I will definitely be visiting again keep up the good work Simon it makes a refreshing change to find a human being behind the bar.

Pop in regular and usually have the Lunch Bunch, two courses £4.95, three £5.95, add a drink for a £1.00. Can't stretch to the three as substantial food on the two course. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

came for dinner on Friday, ordered a steak and ale pie and a chicken burger ... proceeded to tell the rude man behind the bar that I didn't want salad on the burger to which he just laughed ... orders came out... burger had salad on and gravy for the pie was super thick and had a skin on, obviously had been sat for ages. The bar man then proceeded to give me a rude look as if to say 'ha! you've got salad on your burger' and kept laughing.... rude staff, vile food, will never go back.

I visited for the first time this afternoon with my work mates, they have been before. Food was amazing, generous portions, staff were friendly and welcoming. Couldn't ask for anything more. I will definately visiting again.
