The Railway Station Restaurant

We accidentally found this place, after the hotel we were staying in told us (very last minute), their restaurant was shut for the evening. What an incredible little place, such a hidden gem! We both had pizzas, dough-licious, the best pizza both of us have ever had! We'll definitely be returning. Thank you to the lovely waiters for their service, and compliments to the chefs!

We had a private room here to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our family. It was excellent! Jennifer and her staff were absolutely wonderful as ever. The food was perfect. We had our Ruby celebrations, 10 years ago, which Jennifer organised and that was brilliant to. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully intimate restaurant, with a nice atmosphere and very friend and polite staff. Lighting was a bit dark, it was difficult to read the menu. The food was over priced for the quality of produce. The brie was tasty but was covered in too much oil. Once you have scrapped it off, it was edible.

100% recommend here we booked here as the food sounded lovely when looking for a restaurant in that area we booked a few months in advance as we were attending the area for my daughters 21st... i am so glad we did the whole experience with pelgraves was a pleasure everything we mentioned was taken into account we had a lovely booth the decor was spot on romantic, comfy & quirky it caters for everyone even it also has added touches in the toilets which was so nice. The food was absolutely gorgeous portion sizes was huge and so fresh cooked to perfection the staff and manager was so lovely if we lived local it would definitely be somewhere we would go to alot even for a drink. We mentioned it was a birthday when we booked and they brought my daughter a pudding with sparkler and candle we never asked for this it was so lovely we was made to feel so welcome i will definitely be returning and recommending here

I took flowers to give to my wife before we went. The staff were good enough to put them on the table for when we arrived surprising my wife. The food was perfect, the steak 🥩 was done just the way I like it. My wife asked for some small changes to her meal, this was done without hesitation. Great place to eat, not a typical restaurant, but one that cares about their customers.
