Amazing hot food and staff went beyond to offer me vegan option which was absolutely delicious! Nothing finishes a meal like a big slice of cake and hot cup of tea. Ah and the beautiful cups and tea pots! Thank you! See you again x

What a delightful tea room! This must be one of the best cafes I've ever been to.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and served quickly. There is plenty of seating inside and tables outside too. The beam and interior decorations are beautiful, and I love the fairy lights.
I ordered a breakfast tea for one, and it was served in beautiful china cup, saucer, teapot, and little jug for the milk. The lady who served me gave me an extra teapot of hot water to top up the tea leaves teapot - it was so nice to be given this at the start and not have to ask! Very good value for money. I had my tea with soy milk, and they also offer oat milk as a dairy free alternative.
I also bought a slice of gluten free lemon drizzle to take away, and it was AMAZING! Moist and packed with flavour, and I loved the lemon curd and icing on top. I saw that they have a separate fridge for gluten free food so felt reassured that they are careful in the preparation and storage of gluten free food. They had gluten free rocky road too, but all their cakes are homemade so on another day the choices might have been different. Nice to see different options to the token gluten free brownie that most cafes offer!
Will definitely return to Long Melford in order to come back here again! Lovely staff, gorgeous interior and tea sets, and wonderful tea and cake. What's not to love? Thank you Long Melford Tea Room 😊❤️
Also - they have plenty of plug sockets for charging phones / laptops which was a relief for me since my phone battery was low. Not all cafes have wall plug sockets available, so it's worth noting!
Exceptional customer service - the place had a lovely community feel for the locals. However, was still very welcoming to visitors.
You can tell the food and cakes are homemade and GREAT quality all at very reasonable prices.
Wide selection of baked goods and toasties, only problem is trying not to pick everything!

Despite arriving half an hour before closing, we were made very welcome and served quickly with a delicious sausage roll with the trimmings. Earl Grey tea also excellent, with extra hot water provided without asking. Very friendly service.
Wow! Exceeded my expectations! I am from Australia and tripping around the UK. My friends took me here and the food is simply exceptional, from the hand made sausage rolls with rich caramelised chutney then topped even further with cream tea (clotted cream and scone) all the cakes are amazingly handmade with such delicate love.
Only down side to this lovely food is that you need to wear stretchy pants or lose a button off your jeans because it is simply irresistibly delicious you won’t want to stop!

A wonderful place to go for a sandwich, pot of tea and a too big slice of freshly baked cake! We were welcomed with a smile, fresh tea, and lovely cake after a long walk. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly and the food is delicious. It's our favourite tea room.
Absolutely wonderful. A lovely atmosphere in a warm, cosy, and comfortable space. The team are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food and coffee were excellent.
As we left we had lovely chat with proprietor Richard and right-hand lady Tracy. We could not have had a nicer lunch.
We are lucky enough to be local and will be visiting regularly from now on.
One of the most stunning tea rooms I’ve visited. Wonderfully friendly staff, cozy ambiance and the most delicious selection of goodies! If visiting the area this is definitely worth seeking out. Can’t wait to return.
What can we say - If we could give this lovely tearoom more stars we would! Great location, super friendly staff and the cakes just WOW 😋 so fresh, moist & delicious the hardest choice was which one to choose! Can’t wait to go back 🍰♥️
A great tearoom that's well worth a visit.
Serving a selection of cakes, scones, toasted sandwiches, teas, a cream tea and even afternoon tea (with booking) - a fellow visitor had the latter and it looked very generous. Service is also affable, warm and friendly.
We were served loose-leaf tea in a pot for 2, with cups & saucers, accompanied by sugar cubes and a decent jug of milk. I had a cream tea - the fruit scone was warm, soft and quite delicious, accompanied with a good sized dollop of jam and clotted cream. My other half had a (big!) slice of coffee and walnut cake; this was as good an example of this sponge cake as I have ever seen.
We would seek this place out again if we were in the area.
