I visited this lovely tea room last week and had great experience. To start with the outside was clean and crisp and the window display was eye catching and inviting. So we went in and inside didn't let us down either , but we decided to make the most if the good weather and sit out in the garden in the back which was had a nice relaxing atmosphere and very well kept.
We ordered our food with the very polite waitress . I only ordered a sandwich and so did my friend but it came very prompt and it was delicious. I saw an array of cakes which looked good enough to dive in to but unfortunately I didn't have one this time . I will be back shortly to this little tea room. And will save room for one of those cakes.
Also having visited a few cafes/ tea rooms in the local area I would recommend giving this one a visit the most . Not just for the food but the atmosphere,friendly staff and value

A rare find! Could not have been happier. Sat outside with a friend to the trickle of water fountain. Spot on service from young happy well-trained staff. Ate tarragon chicken which was excellent. Well done to you all we will be back thank you.

Visited again today still good food and service. Menu has changed with less choice than previous, but quality of food remains high. Changes will not affect my return in future.

We came here as a recommendation from a friend ... certainly was not disappointed. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere ... staff also are so friendly and polite. Lovely garden with a few nice features of a water fountain and a living willow structure. Very clean and bright interiordecor. A not overwhelming menu was brilliant. Food beautifully presented and so very tasty.

It was our first time at The Olive Tree Tearooms. First impressions were very positive....the place looked inviting and tempting. All appropriate covid precautions were in place. Staff were lovely and helpful. We had tea and sandwiches, then I had a hot chocolate. I would've loved to have tried some of the lovely cakes on display or the homemade quiches.
Can't fault it. If only we lived closer.....

A totally delicious freshly made lunch with my daughter here yesterday. Brilliant friendly and efficient service with all things covid handled really well. A cosy tasty little retreat with great food and staff cant fault it...never had a bad experience here...thanks ladies.

We visited Long Melford yesterday on one of the hottest days in the year and after walking round no admiring the beautiful buildings in the village we popped in here for one of their home made ice creams - my husband choosing rhubarb and custard and I had a strawberry and peach one and they were absolutely delicious and not too expensive either! The interior of the cafe is very light, bright and inviting and has a lovely enclosed outside area too! The staff are also very friendly!
