Nice location, room and bathroom nice, WiFi could do with much improvement though, stayed for 3 nights 1st night had a meal we both really enjoyed everything spot on, returned again on the Wednesday was left quite let down compared to quality to had on the Monday hopefully this was a one off. One saving grace is the waffle desert is amazing.

Phil and his team are brilliant! A lovely place with a fabulous atmosphere. The food is fabulous and the breakfast is good too. Lovely little rooms to stay in behind the pub. Quiet, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Recommend a stay overnight of a pass by visit for a meal. You'll not be disappointed!

Gives you an amazing, unforgettable experience ! The food, venue & the staff were amazing. The food was incredibly reasonable, we really enjoyed it. We will definitely be going back for more. This place does not disappoint.

We visited the Farmers Boy as a party of three adults and a 2 year old toddler for a family meal. I can't recommend the Farmers Boy enough, the service was 10 out 10, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing, my daughter and myself had the steak and ale pie, one with chips the other with mash, which was amazing! My son had the pan seared duck with seasonal vegetables, he said it was the best duck he had tasted for a long time. The children's meal of chicken goujons and chips was fantastic as well. So i will definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend the farmers boy as a lovely place to visit and have a family meal.

Fantastic service. We arrived super early (after early check out) and Jackie & her team mate were kind enough to serve and seat us. Food was excellent. I don't know how they managed to get 11 quite different meals out at the same time, including 5 roasts but they did. Roasts are so hard to do well and this was delicious. It was Jackie that made our visit memorable. We'll be back that's for sure.

I attended the farmer boy inn on Monday (17/07/23) and it was one of the nicest pubs I have ever been to! The atmosphere was lovely on arrival, with a warm and polite welcome and in a beautiful location! We was taken to our seats, where our table was lovely and clean and seats super comfy! We was then given the menu, which had such a variety on and it all sounded super yummy! I went for the pulled pork burger, which was delicious and so filling! I also had the red pepper and rocket soup, which was probably one of the best soups I have ever tasted! Unfortunately, I was too full for dessert, but I will definitely be retuning and will be trying a dessert! The food was such good value for money and so tasty! I would recommend the farmers boy inn to everyone!! Thank you for a lovely meal!!

Very accommodating, really delicious food, super dog friendly... but ultimately leaving this review because the level of service from all the staff we encountered was just above and beyond excellent. Not often you get such great service these days, so it was just a real treat for all the family. Looking forward to another excuse to visit and try more pies!

me and the wife were drivng into longhope looking for another pub we had visited previously. we were driving along and just happened to see the farmers boy at the last minute and deciced on the spur of the moment to give it a try.. what a fantastic surprise. the pub is lovely inside and out especially the murals. we had a lovely sunday lunch including a dessert. but the thing that will stay with me is the service. phil and the other members of staff really made us feel special. you are not just another customer but a valued customer. thanks for a great experience and hopefully we will get the chance to return.

A great young and enthusiastic team. Pie menu is really original. Brilliant for Gluten Free food. Clearly understood the importance of allergies. Good prices as well

I recently dined at Farmers Boy in Longhope, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, and the service provided by Phil, T, Richard, and Dan was outstanding. They made us feel welcome and attended to our needs with care. The cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful dining experience

We went for a family meal and have to say we were not disappointed staff were really friendly even recommending which dish we would like best and which wine have to say all decisions were absolutely spot on will definitely go back massive thumbs up

Had the most amazing evening here catching up with friends from Thailand � the atmosphere,staff and food was the best. ashame I missed out on the Aero cheesecake. So will have to revisit at some point.

Great staff excellent food and service the only fault I could find is they don’t do semi skimmed milk, I certainly recommend the steak and Stilton pie absolutely a must. ���

We had a meal last night as a family and I have to say the food was exceptional. We indulged in the homemade pies, hunters chicken and my daughter had pasta from the kids menu, we topped it off with dessert! The waiting staff a young lad was so attentive and helpful from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. It was a lovely afternoon out with gorgeous food! We will definitely be returning soon highly recommend to others

Just got back home after a short 2 day stay at the farmers boy, well worth a visit the place is lovely and the rooms are nice too and not too expensive either. The food is very nice as are the staff, i'll be booking again.

We visited the pub this weekend and what a lovely time we had. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very approachable. Sadly we only memorized Rhiannas name but each and every staff member were lovely and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding!! If I'm honest a little bit more expensive than you would normally expect in a country pub but well worth it so don't let that put you off; good food, service and atmosphere are hard to come by in one place. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet and had all the facilities of any brand hotel. The room we stayed in has recently been decorated and every effort has been taken to keep it modern and up to date yet warm and welcoming. Overall no complaints at all and would very much visit again. Thank you to all the team.

We had a great overnight stay and meal this weekend. After a few problems with the booking Darren dealt with it in a very professional and nice way. Despite our room having quite a few cobwebs it was definantly great value for money and the breakfast was lovely. We choose the pies for our evening meal and were not disappointed. Everything on our plates were delicious! We would undoubtably return again!

Come for lunch today and the staff and food were once again perfect, a bit of a wait but that was no problem Rihanna and the staff looked after as usual.

Would like 2 say thank u we had a lovely stay last nite in our room it was a lovely cosy room and comfy bed the breakfast was lovely and staff were very friendly especially rhianna I think her name was and Sophie and the other girl not sure of her name. We had a few drinks and ordered some chips and ate at the bar lovely atmosphere and cosy pub. We will be back. X

Just come back from an overnight stay for my 40th birthday which was a gift from my friend. The whole experience was perfect from the amazing friendly staff to the beautiful room we stayed in and of course the exceptional food and drink. The little touches such as a personalised plaque on the table just made the whole experience extra special. We will definitely be booking to come again.xx
