Review Rams Head - Longton

We went for Sunday Roast Carvery 😋 oh my, my it's not only traditional Carvery, you can choose from selection of other little bits like, variety of vegetables 😋 pasta, little burgers, chocolate fountain with marshmallow and churros, and much much more, and everything mentioned is included in tbe price of Carvery. For someone like me who eats with my eyes, it is heaven 😋. All staff are so friendly and every single one smiles and makes you feel comfortable ☺️ We also ordered Caroline Bbq burger and salmon salad, woho it was massive 👌 wasn't able to finish ☺️

Can't fault the food, delicious. We ordered food that wasn't all together on the menu, salmon and prawns from the salad, served with mashed potato, and was quite tasty. Love going to the ram's, never had a bad meal there. Staff are always friendly, doing as much as they can to help.

Loveley lunch on Sunday. We was a party of 23. Service brilliant. Food great all served together. Piping hot. Staff very attentive . Definitely go again.

Went for Sunday lunch with 8 relatives. I had the hot Mexican chilli con carne. It was amazing, best chilli I've ever had. Plate was full as well, chips, garlic bread, rice dips, cheese. All my relatives said their food was excellent, there was so much, 3 of my nephews needed doggy bags. Plenty of food, value for money and the service was so friendly. Will definitely be going again.

Lovely meals for all of us - party of 7 adults and 2 children. Children's meals were brought out first (good move!), everything was hot, beautifully served, tasted amazing and we were all very full when we left! And reasonably priced as well - can highly recommend 👌

Well where do I start. The food OMG its a carvery like you've never seen before. Every veg you can think of and wonderful meats expertly cooked and served and then the potatoes oh the roasties and mash where heaven. Then come the extras pigs in blanket battered sausage burger in a bun pizza garlic mushrooms hash browns potato croquettes to name just a few. The food was absolutely superb and the staff. Well so welcoming and friendly and helpful. 10/10 rams head. Would throughly recommend and will return soon. Thank you

Went for Father's day. Food good and plentiful. Staff pleasant. Tables too close together, packed in like sardines, uncomfortable, touching chair behind when trying to get out. A nice touch was the chocolate fountain with marshmallow's and fudge just to finish the meal off.

Sometime since I've been able to go but the food is always good. Never had a bad meal here. We do have a takeaway quite often that you need to fetch yourself now but it's worth it especially their beer battered fish and chips, omg! To die for! Won't get them from anywhere else.

Very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food portions are more than adequate and reasonably priced. We had the traditional fish & chips and the Brooklyn big boy burger.

Very spacious and good outdoor area. The food menu is crazy, so many options! Really yummy and the portions are huge, great value for money.

Reasonable out of town pub. Nice decor, cheap food, good sized car park. It should get 4 stars but I feel compelled to down score it because of the unhelpful if not rude staff. I walked out after one drink and went elsewhere where I was made Welcome

Went in for Sunday lunch. Carvery was nice. Plenty to choose from. Staff are really lovely. Would return.

Sunday lunch for partner and I. Good selection on menu, though perhaps too many choices as you don't really know where to start! The menu isn't the easiest to navigate either. But this is small criticism. The food itself is splendid gastro pub cuisine. My partner had steak and ale pie, served in a pot, on a board with separate pots of cabbage, peas and gravy, accompanied by a basket of very 'crispy on the outside, soft on the inside' chips. The slow cooked beef in the pie was amazing. 40 min waiting time was well worth it. I had the carvery with a good choice of two cuts of beef, gammon, pork and turkey, with good selection of veg. The chef at the pass wasn't too versed in the difference in beef cuts and the stuffing and pigs in blankets had been under the lamp a bit too long. But, again, very small criticisms here. Standard beers at the bar, serving a great pint of Timothy Taylor. Great value, quality food. Going back soon.

We eat at the Rams Head a couple of times a month - if we lived nearer it would be more frequently. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent and good value for money. The Sunday carvery is the best ever. It does get busy & the table layout changes depending on the size of the bookings but the staff do their best to accommodate everyone. Definitely recommend the Rams Head.

Thank you again to the staff who organised for us to have the TV in the restaurant so we could watch the England game and celebrate my fiancé's surprise 30th meal. So thoughtful and as ever the food was amazing!

Bit confusing about mgr walking past and not taking the order. Then a waitress only be told another waitress take the order...but the food was really good...could not fault starters are the mains..

Lovely place it was my first visit and wow how big are the portions!! Food was perfect and the hot stuff was hot my only complaint would be they tend to give you far too much salad maybe it's to make it look like you've got more food. ��

Booked a table for 10 two weeks before for a birthday get together. The table layout was awful. Talk about sardines. The only way to sit down was to ask the table behind us if the would get up and push their chair in so we could sit down. Don’t really know how we were expected to get up and down to go to carvery it was really uncomfortable. Just downright greedy trying to get too many people into a small room. Pity because the carvery is good value but won’t be going again as didn’t enjoy meal due to having to ask others to move or being ask to move whilst trying to eat meal😡😡😡

Great food shocking service. The table next to us had to ask for there food after an hour . We got our food. Tried ordering more drink and staff walking away before we even had finished ordering the drinks. Had to shout for my drink as she walked away as we was ordering. Rude. Sat there for 45 mins after could not get more drinks or deserts as staff was behind bar talking to each other facing b the optics not customers! Had been told it was a great place. No reason for this service it wasn't even busy! Shame staff let it down as food was really good. Great portions and presentation

Just spent my birthday and Mother's day here today and it's amazing. Lovely food, lovely presentation and lots of great friendly staff on Im guessing one of your busiest days of the year! There were 3 mums in our party and we all received a huge box of chocolates which was so thoughtful. I have been before and will keep recommending you! Well done and thank you for making our family lunch an enjoyable one ��🍽 xxx

Went last night with my family for my mums birthday. Had starters, mains and a couple of desserts. Food was excellant and very tasty as always and plenty of it. Staff very friendly and attentive. Would definately recommend and certainly will be back. Xxx
