Review Trewithen Restaurant - Lostwithiel

Well what can we say... Absolutely stunning food! The twice baked cheese soufflé is delicious we both highly recommend. Fantastic service, everything was faultless and it made it a pleasure to be out & celebrating my birthday with the little touches of birthday sprinkles on the table & written on the dessert plate. Thank you to you both for a fabulous evening, we will be back! Should of taken photos of the stunning food.

We wanted to go here for our anniversary but unfortunately they had a private function. We managed to get booked in for the following week for my birthday. I'm so glad we did. What a lovely experience. The service was superb and the food was absolutely gorgeous. There are only 4 or 5 tables inside but a very nice atmosphere. There is a beautiful courtyard with a few more tables. All in all a great experience..

Wonderful food in this very small but top quality restaurant. The dining room is a bit like eating in your home dining room for size and might do with a little more ambience? But that's not to takeaway anything from the delicious food which is lovingly prepared by Jordan and served by his wife Kerris.

Not enough stars,my partners 60th birthday celebration. They made it so special for all of us. It is a fantastic treat, and we all talked about the experience long into the night. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening

Celebrated with family for a birthday. The attention to detail was amazing. Beautiful confetti on the table! All of our choices for dinner were top notch. Pan fried grey mullet with grapefruit and prawn salsa was epic. The flavour was stunning! I had never tried mullet but now I know what I've been missing! I also had the pleasure of sipping on some Fowey Valley Pommeau as an aperitif with grilled cornish asparagus as a starter. The asparagus was sided with Cornish Yarg croquettes which were phenomenal. I completed the meal with raspberry Eton mess and a tipple of Ruby Port. Finally sipped my way to to a blissful finish with a passionfruit Margarita. We will definitely be going back ASAP. Highly recommend! The beauty of this place is the intimacy of the dining. It means that you can enjoy a good conversation without being drowned out by the sound of others. You also benefit from the attentive service from Kerris! Finally the chef has created dishes that even the fussy as well as those with allergies are very likely to find a dish to delight their palate!

Lovely little restaurant open for lunch and dinner on the main street in Lostwithiel behind sweet magnolias. It's one chef and one front of house so has an intimate feel - there's indoor and outdoor seating though only a couple of the outside tables have shade not usually a problem in Cornwal. I think for dinner you'd be much better off booking but for lunch should be ok walking in. Food is beautiful and changes quite a bit - seafood features heavily as you'd expect given the location I think. Service is excellent - attentive but not intrusive. Surprisingly extensive drinks menu with quite a lot of local options. I'd say 2 courses with an alcoholic drink at lunch is going to be about £25pp probably more like 35+ for dinner so obviously not somewhere you'd go everyday but as the odd treat very worth it. Be aware service is discretionary. Parking in lostwithiel can be quite difficult but probably find something pretty close should be free or Lostwithiel is on the train line if you don't live locally anyway .

Rarely am I compelled to write a review for a restaurant, but The Restormel Kitchen deserves every bit of its five stars. Jordan and Kerris have created an unpretentious space, with incredible food with great Cornish provenance and a lovely, intimate atmosphere. They are both extremely good at what they do. I had the sardines and seafood risotto, both delicious. My partner chose beef kofta followed by hake and was also very satisfied with his choices. Wine recommendation was perfect too. My only complaint was that I had no room for dessert as I could have chosen everything on offer! I wish this hidden gem every success and hope to be back. You will not be disappointed.

I took my fiancé here for his birthday meal last night and it was wonderful, honestly we couldn’t fault anything. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just amazing. The service was brilliant, we cannot wait to book in again and would highly recommend.

Went to this tiny restaurant with fixed price lunch menu and we enjoyed lovely food which was well cooked and beautifully presented. Good friendly service. Recommended.

Just wonderful, go if you have the chance. Creative and scrumptious dishes, sustainably sourced ingredients served with a wide range of drinks including a local Cornish gin
