Biked down through the fields with the kids, and ended up at the Rose and Crown. Nipped in for breakfast. We all loved it. Kids breakfast is really good value for money, and so was the adult breakfast and all cooked really nice. We'll definitely be coming back to eat here. Would like to try an evening meal. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

You know it's good when the plate ends up scraped clean. Nice, friendly new owners, great beer, great food and a nice view of the canal.

New managers really kind and helpful. We moored up with our boat last week and they were really accommodating and generous and oh my goodness their dog is so gorgeous! It's a lovely spot.

Brilliant local boozer on the canal, with a secret weapon: the quality of their steaks (both cuts and chef). Generous portions off a pretty standard bar menu (steak, steak pie, steak sandwich, mixed grill etc), and perfectly executed. Not really for vegetarians (1980's style limited choice) and decor on the shabby / rustic side with a thousand fairy lights over the top. A great walkers' refuelling point.

Possibly the friendliest pub ever We hadn’t planned on calling in at a pub but after a lovely walk we stopped on chance. We didn’t have masks but the staff kindly provided us with one each so that we could order and use indoor facilities if needed. We enjoyed our drinks sitting by the side of the river watching the world go by. Staff were lovely and attentive, provided water and treats for our puppy. Beer was also good - shame we were just passing through as the food also looked great

Nice location by the canal with a good beer garden and a choice of asked. Lovely staff, easy sign in and a handy sanitising station. Deanna and boats going past - lovely.

Toilets are a bit nasty. Chips nice but a little bit to greasy. Really nice views when you sit outside as pub is next to a canal. Overall a nice place.

New owners doing a great job, fresh quality real ales and good selection of lagers and ciders if that's your thing. Tried a golden Timothy Tayler for the first time, and it was refreshing and perfect balance of hops and citrus 👍 👌 Friendly welcoming staff and new food menu which we look forward to trying 😀 Lovely canalside location 🚣‍♀️

Had lunch at the Rose and Crown Inn with two ex work friends. The canal-side setting was lovely. Hot sunshine and a cool breeze across the water. The drinks were good, the food delicious, and the bar staff were friendly and efficient. A very pleasant, well decorated and comfortable country pub, with plenty of parking space. Highly recommended.
