Beer was delicious, good range of wines, rustic surroundings, friendly helpful staff. We say in hop garden Terrace on a lovely sunny day. The bar menu food was very reasonably priced, we had chips and nachos with cheese, the chips were chunky and crunchy, yum. Overall a great wee pub, I would definitely go again.

We love meeting here for Salsa every Tuesday, the Manager and staff are always friendly and accommodating. The space is lovely, the soft drinks are so cheap it's ridiculous. We love it and only ever have positive things to say

Great selection of well kept cask ales, and a nice roaring fire! What more could you ask for?

Caught my eye when I saw the all you can eat wings on Saturday. Ended up splitting a wing platter instead with my wife because it worked out cheaper. The wings were coated in plenty of sauce and tasted delicious. It's a great place for people who enjoy a good cold cider. Ended up ordering a rack of ribs as well, which I wished had more sauce on like the ribs, but they were happy to give me more sauce on the side upon request. The fries were a bit cold in places so it kind of might put me off on ordering them again. I ordered a homemade cookie sandwich which came with massive cookies and not as much icecream as I hoped for. The environment is calm and quiet but I would have liked a little music to liven up the place. Will probably return again for the wings and cider.

This pub has been one of my go to pubs for 14 years it's jukebox has a great selection of music. Beer is well priced and plenty to choose from for ale and ciders drinkers alike.

We went to try the new food by Mervs kitchen. Lots of choice on the menu. We chose a cheese and bacon hot dog, Mervs smoked cheese n bacon burger both with smokey cheesy bacon fries. Absolutely delicious 🤌 all cooked to perfection. The pub has a selection of drinks to choose from. I would suggest to book a table if you are eating and it can get busy. Definitely going back for all you can eat wings. 😋

The beer has always been brilliant here, but the food is outstanding! I am not exaggerating... Pub smells a bit like a wet dog, but, its a proper English pub, its supposed to, you kind of don't notice after 15 mins either. Not with a glass of incredible ale.

Awesome pub. Decent toilets. Comfortable seats. Nice staff. Chilled environment. My Portuguese friend says he's not found Portuguese beer anywhere else apart from this pub, when he saw Sagres he was so happy, I thought that is awesome. Definitely recommend!

Great pub fast friendly service. Never fails Elaine & staff are excellent. The addition of the gazebos and tables in the car park was an inspiration.

Visited many times but recently been to try the new food! Although the food order was slightly wrong the food it self was lovely. The ribs are really good and wings a bit on the small side but taste really good. Food place has just opened I think so fully recommend a visit.
