Bengal Spice

The food was really nice. I am quite picky and a fussy eater and I was pleasantly surprised not only by the looks and taste of the food but also the service and the overall atmosphere. The paneer was outstanding, the naan, the rice as well as the coconut ice cream. The staff was very nice indeed and my husband and I had a gorgeous meal. Will definitely come back!

Me, solo diner at 5:20 on the first cold Monday in December. Really fancied something hot and spicy. Walking past the restaurant I could smell what I had been thinking about for the past hour! As I was so early, I was their only customer for my entire dinner. Chicken Jalfrezi is my "go-to" so that's what I ordered...having lived in India, its a good benchmark! I was welcomed with open arms into a huge but empty restaurant. Food came relatively quickly and was tasty, fresh and served with care and attention. Little bursting spikes of cardamom in my main which was slightly different. Mushroom rice, delicious, onion bhaji the only disappointment on the table. Didn't seem overly fresh and lacking flavour. A word of warning! Go with a huge appetite! Portion sizes are gargantuan! I'd eaten a full meal and there was enough chicken, sauce, rice and bhaji left to feed another person! Plus the chicken pieces were massive! I was slightly embarrassed that I'd left so much so I did mention to the lovely staff about their portion sizes. Overall, very good. 👍

Placed an order for my team of 16 at work, feedback from everyone was the food was fresh and tasty, you can tell the food was cooked with carefully sought out ingredients. Ordered the King Prawn Pathia so flavoursome tasty decent amount of prawns, the sauce was thick and had a lovely aroma of spices oozing through. Lamb Biriyani had a distinct flavour and the spices were perfect👌Hence why I had to write a review. If your looking for authentic Indian dishes then this is the place. Will be visiting soon for a dine in experience!

We were a large party from work around 10/12 people that ordered a take away. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. We all ordered various dishes which were cooked and presented to perfection. They even gave us all complimentary popadoms and salad. Would definitely recommend and order from them again. May even try the restaurant next time. A big thanks to their staff.

Had a delicious meal delivered for a work function this evening . Food was cooked perfectly , portions were plentiful and presentation with free salad and poppadoms were very much appreciated . Genuinely really tasty Indian food. First time visit here and it's clear that the decor has been modernised with a flower wall and a contemporary ceiling design. Really friendly staff and food arrived piping hot but more importantly all the dishes were really really good. From the saag dish to the meat and prawn curries, all were nicely prepared and tasted wonderful. Clearly this restaurants is following all the necessary covid guidelines, so it's a shame places like this will have to shut their dining service and only provide takeaway during lockdown as this restaurant will be doing. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting.
