The warm decor (love the beehive chairs) of The Hive in Loughton was welcoming as we popped in for a burger and chips date night. Excellent, attentive and personable customer service, chips were soft yet crispy, coleslaw was good enough to eat on it's own and the burger was juicy. Recommended.

What a beautiful hidden gem. The owners are so friendly and welcoming the detox salad was beautifully made and taste so lovely. I highly recommend this place.

I spent a lovely, warm Friday night in the outside area of The Hive, soaking up the friendly atmosphere and vibes of regular diners and locals alike.
The menu is varied and adaptable, the chef was happy to veganise a few items for me which is always appreciated! I found it to be good value for money considering the high quality and especially compared to other establishments in the area.
The staff were super welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great meal!

Normally fussy when it comes to a burger but the cheeseburger really good here. Cooked how I wanted it. Fresh and tasty tomato, onion and lettuce and gherkins in bun but without overwhelming it. My friends had the Cabana sandwich which looked really good which will be next on my visit. Ice cold beer went down well too!

We had a lovely brunch at The Hive, it had a really friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious 😋 Plus they had highchairs which was really handy. I’d definitely recommend it!

Popped in on the opening day having been taken over by new owners. Amazing breakfast menu, clean, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning to try the lunch menu. 10/10.

All the staff are always incredibly welcoming and lovely - the food is fresh and delicious - and the atmosphere is brilliant.

What a discovery! Small, maybe insignificant place from outside but what a treat! On a road, hungry a bit tired and Google tells us there is a place to eat. The place has indoor and outdoor settings, maybe a bit rough around the edges but it's clean and tidy. The food is not very complicated but simply delicious. I've had a fried halloumi wrap and my companion had a veggie pizza. Both dishes were tasty. We also had a house white wine and a cider. I enjoyed a lot and I want to come back. I love this place!
