Delicious, fresh food! We had the most amazing food here. Highly recommend the pork belly & steak pie. The black pudding starter & salt and pepper squid were incredible also. Dog friendly which is fab too. Will definitely be back here!
Superb dinner here. The food, drinks and ambience are first class. 5 stars to the chef!!
Great beer and well above average food. Friendly service and a great ambience.
Stopped here for Sunday lunch while on a circular walk from Gunnerside. Arrived a little early before they were open and so sat outside and admired the view. And what a view it is! Went in and what a surprise. It was bright and modern. Not quite what we were expecting but really liked it. The recept
We visited the restaurant for their Sunday Lunch and were dazzled by the hospitality and the fresh food. The veggies were cooked to perfection (meaning not overcooked or mushy). We took a challenging cycling route to get there, which made us a tad late for our reservation slot. We were still very we
I was expecting an old flagstone floored traditional pub but what a delight, a really warm welcome and quite evident there has been a lot invested into the fittings and decor. A nice place to visit and to sit in front of a warm fire, especially on a wet and windy day👍
Had a lovely meal. Fettucine with spinach and mushrooms and parmesan. As i dont like butter the chef did it with oil. Was lovely as was salad dressing. My partners meal also very good
We were on holiday in a cottage opposite, so we decided on the 1st night to try it, we'll we weren't disappointed the food and service was above and beyond, in fact we went back twice more, can't recommend it enough 😀
Dropped in for lunch while walking in Swaledale. Very clean with wonderful views across the Dale. Very good hot baguette, chosen from a varied lunch menu. Had an excellent pint of fruity Ghostly Pale, followed by an equally excellent pint of Battleaxe, with hints of caramel, from the Rudgate Brewery
Excellent food. We dined yesterday evening, from the reception, service and the food the whole experience was top notch. Starters Breaded Brie, Black pudding Scotch Egg followed by Burger and Chunky chips, Steak pie with Mash to die for. Compliments to the Chef and all staff, it's a 10 from table 10
We had a superb meal in attractive surroundings and a scenic location. All the food was excellent quality and beautifully presented. With friendly service too we will definitely be back if we get the chance.
Warm, inviting, with friendly staff. Comfortable, clean rooms. The food was excellent, and they offer a great bag lunch service, which we took advantage of for our hike the next day.
Such a relaxing stay at the Punchbowl Inn - superb service from start to finish - polite, friendly and attentive staff. The dinner was outstanding - not had a meal as good for a long time and the breakfast was as good too. Accommodation just lovely with stunning views and again - best nights sleep -
Stayed three nights, really comfortable room 3 has superb views, very comfy bed and generous sized en suite shower. We breakfasted and dined well on a great choice from an excellent menu showcasing local produce. Staff were all friendly and helpful and hard working. Askrigg pale ale on tap is a winn
