Good place for a short break. Food very good with excellent choices. All meals buffet style. Good entertainment. Bar prices expensive so worth taking your own . For those staying in the lodges could be a trek to the restaurant especially in poor weather

Whilst everything was brilliant I did find the food at a lower standard. Roast potatoes didn't taste right. The peas were hard. Unfortunately I couldn't eat any of the curry's. Our waiter Ron was brilliant and deserves a meddle. Everything else was brilliant. The entertainment team and the resident band were truly professional. The chalet was nice and the surrounding grounds were beautiful.

Great place food is fantastic and plenty of choice. Our young waitress Lizzie was amazing very polite lady great worker. Entertainment wasn't great unfortunately due to it being a ballroom dancing week. Would go again just not a dance afloat week not my thing I have too left feet...

Gunton Hall is in a beautiful woodland setting. The chalets are very comfortable and clean and the beds are very large and comfortable. We found all the staff to be very friendly & helpful and the entertainment team were all very talented individuals who worked really hard. The food was excellent & we found the self-service aspect a definite plus as you could eat as much or little as you wanted to. We didn't use the leisure facilities but the pool area look lovely. I would highly recommend a stay at this Warners venue.

Just returned today from our first visit to Gunton Hall. We had a wonderful few days - in spite of the weather!! The entertainment team and the resident band 'Crackerjacks' were absolutely first class - so hard working and friendly. They couldn't have tried any harder to please everyone! Our dining experience was also very good. Lovely food, and as much of it as anyone could possibly want. Plenty of choice at every meal - and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The young lady who came in to service our room everyday, the man from the maintenance team working outside our chalet, the reception staff, those who waited on us with drinks throughout the day and into the evening - and I hope I haven't left anyone out - were all friendly and more than willing to help. We booked a 'superior patio suite' in the 'Village Square' which had two rooms and looked to have been recently refurbished. All very fresh with green ferns and white paintwork - and a really pretty bathroom! We loved Gunton and, yes, we will be back!

I visited on my own and at times when I needed serving had to put up my hand after waiting for a while. Other people didn't seem to have the same problem. Think they were regular visitors so they were known to the staff. Bar prices really expensive. Large white wine £9.50. 🍷 Didn't like the complete buffet experience as some food used to come freshly cooked from the kitchen but not now so apparently this is something new they're piloting. Staff lovely and most helpful. Entertainment amazing. Soul weekend.

The room/chalet was very comfortable and suits a short stay. Drinks are pricey notably the wine (bottles) at dinner. The staff are wonderful. The entertainment's team are enthusiastic and remarkably good. There's quite a bit to do. The grounds are very well maintained. The app is helpful but surprisingly doesn't work so well on Samsungs (certainly on my A13). Those who find reading small print challenging ensure you have your glasses for dinner. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend a short stay. No children but all adults are welcome. Most residents are of a more senior age.

Recommend. Beautiful place to stay. Lovely local walks. Nice, clean, comfortable accommodation. Really nice choice of food. Freshly cooked. Friendly staff. Will visit again.

The basic rooms are ok for a short period. A little cramped tho. It’s worth upgrading. The staff in particular in the restaurant are amazingly helpful. The man who makes pancakes and omelettes is a sight to behold. It’s like a well rehearsed orchestra.
Food choices were good, although bland selection of breakfast cereal.
I’d go again if it were not for the extortionate eye watering drink prices

For us it was a long way to travel, but as always up to Warners standards overall. Signature room was very nice. The grounds very well kept to say they only have 5 gardeners! Good pool and games facilities. Was a bit disappointed with the desserts but it's help yourself so you can try more than one. The croissants were stale at breakfast and small otherwise good choice at breakfast. Dinners good although the peas were overcooked.

So we stayed from 24th July to 28th for our wedding anniversary,we booked the Premier chalet in driftwood and we couldn't fault the room, bed was spot on as was the bathroom and lounge area we was glad we had the extra room and patio area overlooking the grounds and lake perfect.
Staff were fantastic although I think on the entertainment nights needed a couple more staff to keep up with the drinks as that was slow,or even a bar that was staffed so we could get our own drinks, thus is the reason for 4 stars on service.
Breakfast was good Robbie our waiter for most of the time was spot on,he was on the ball clearing out tables without asking and topping our teas up.Evening meals also good with plenty of choice.
Swimming pool and games a nice touch.
Archery and rifle range was a good bit of fun.
Plenty of walks if u like that also.
I think if there was a bar area throughout the day and night would make a big difference.
I will say again staff were fantastic couldn't fault them including the chefs who we also chatted with and thanked them for all they do

Didn't like the self service for meals, chaos! Food dried up under lamps. No menu, had to look for starters and desserts. Roast obvious, meat and veg. Other cuisine on the board at entrance to restaurant. If I was only going to have 1 main course, okay but up and down 3 times not a good eating experience. Breakfast was also a farce, fried eggs with skin on yolk, dried up food under the heat lamps. Also if this is to prevent queues its not working and people are milling about looking for their choice of food. Having been to Gunton many times in the past I will not be returning unless the meal system returns to what it was. This is not a reflection of the staff they were marvelous, just the system.
