Golden Fish - Lowestoft - Photo album

Being from the midlands it’s a shame this isn’t my local, but as I’m down here for work every now and then this is certainly my go to for lunch. I’ve been twice so far and have had the fish and the sausage lunch deals, fantastic value for money here. Highly recommend! They also take card which is a
Lucky to have such a nice chippy so close
Great fish and chips. The fish fresh with a light and crispy batter ,chips was really good aswell .
After a long walk home through the town I couldn't go past without popping in. After all I needed to replace lost energy😂. Best decision ever. Lovely friendly people behind the counter and a tasty lunch to take home.
This is a brilliant Fish and Chip shop. The fish and chips are cooked from fresh and always piping hot. We have tried many fish and chip shops in Norfolk this is easily the best.
Prices very reasonable and tasty chips
Best fish & chips around
The food here is my favourite, the spring rolls are better than the ones I used to get previously. Their is some great lunch time deals, and I just love the getting off cheesy chips (my favourite 😃).
I had sausage and chips they were very nice shop was clean, and lady very polite will go again.
Excellent fish n chips, the chicken nuggets and veggie burgers also v tasty, friendly owner/staff, effective queue management, possible to call in order ahead.
Very good customer service. Winerful staff very friendly.
Good old fashioned chip shop. Always huge queues, which reflects how good they are...worth the wait! No chemical extended oils used here. Lovely fresh fish, cooked to perfection. My only gripe is that they have NBC instead of real vinagre, but I always have a supply of the real thing at home, so n
Just had there lunchtime special of cheeseburger, chips and onion rings for only £2.75 fantastic value and very tasty. Been going to the golden fish for over 25 years now and I think John the owner /fryer has had it all that time allways produces great tasting quality food.
Nine times out of ten you get the best Fish and Chips in Suffolk here. We drive past 3 other chip shops to go to this one. Occasionally the fish has been overcooked and peas packed stone cold, but when they get it right it's heavenly.
Friendly staff. Owner incredibly experienced and knowledgeable. Flaky soft plaice, light and crispy not overly oily batter. Chips were fluffy and cooked to perfection. I have finally found a place by the sea that knows how to make proper Fish and chips. If you haven't been go, coz like me I won't
The pensioner meal is very good value, it is £4.50 for a sensible sized fish and chips. Cooked from fresh, so a slight delay, there are some benches and a few tables within walking distance, over looking the sea, who could ask for more???
Fish cooked to order so there is a little wait, although they do take telephone orders. Card payments accepted which is still unusual for a chip shop. Portions are a decent size and tasted good. Overall very pleased
