This is hands down the best Indian I have ever had!!! The best menu I've ever seen, so much variety and dishes i haven't seen in any other Indian restaurant, beautiful food and amazing staff. Will deffo be here again

Well what can I say, I made the mad decision of having the chicken tikka vindaloo, need I say more!, very very nice food and extremely hot, staff were really polite, will definately be going there again fantastic overall experience

Having had numerous take-always near and far. I’ve lost count particularly with the curry houses both in Bristol and Gloucester as I compare tonight’s meal.
The Bengal Balti has just delivered the BEST chicken-sag-balti toned down slightly with a bit of extra yogurt I’ve ever had. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the curry meal. SUPERB !

Very nice food. Both lamb curry and chicken jalfrezi were great. Still can't get over the difference in portion size and stlye of a Scottish restaurant chicken pakora and an English one. If you're Scottish order a double portion! 😉

Honestly amazing, we stopped in nearby bream for a relaxing weekend and popped over for a takeout. The chana masalla and and cauliflower bhaji was just literally out of this world and the king prawn madrass was just so so good. I wish I lived here so I could eat this all the time 😂 I might even take detours on future trips to pay this establishment a visit!
We have ate here the last two nights while we have been on holiday. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. The food was spot on and would recommend to anyone in the area.
A superb mix of hot, spicy and deliciousness all rolled into one. I recommend the Madras for anyone who likes super tasty curry with a kick. I've also tried both the masala and the tandoori chicken which are both exceptional.

If you hate fluorescent curry and rubbish poppadom dips then this is the Indian for you.
The spicy curries are actually spicy but full of flavour. The Korma was rich and coconutty. The rice is always cooked well. Never had a really oily curry or lack of meat which seems common elsewhere!!
Will continue to eat here both eat in and take away and highly recommend it, if you have tried the other Indians locally and been disappointed.
Lovely family run business. We were going to get a takeaway but we decided to sit in. I'm glad we did as the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food we had was amazing, one of the best Indians I have had. I would recommend this place.
We've had a few takeaways from here and they've always been consistent and pretty good.
The price is fair and on a par with other takeaway options in the area.
The spicing level is spot on for us, portions are generous and the order has been correct every time.

1st visit, really cheerful welcoming staff, the food was excellent, with only 1 exemption. The Nann Bread was thin and rough. But did not spoil a great meal and service.
Situated on Hill Street, Bengal Balti has to be , in my opinion, the best Indian/Bangladesh Restaurant 's in Lydney. You have a choice of to the Saffron Balti along with Chilliz's. However, having tried them all, The Bengal Balti always comes out on top. Hats off to Runu!

I have moved around quite abit & tested alot of Indian restaurants.. Bengal Balti is definitely my number 1!! Affordable, large portions & great taste.. the customer service & delivery was definitely one of the friendliest! Will be sticking with this one! Laura :)
