What amazing food..definitely some of best i had so far . desert was lush.our waiter was lovely and couldn't do enough for us.will be going back again at some point.
Cannot rate highly enough! Great welcome, rooms stunning and breakfast good. Perfectly sited for exploring the area too. Great place!
Stayed for one night. Can't say enough about the staff. Super friendly and great! Our room was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. Had ghostly experience and loved it! Thanks manager for your ghostly contribution! Highly recommend The Angel & Blue Pig!
Couldn't fault the place, excellent food, atmosphere and fun and engaging staff, will definitely be back.
I stayed at the angel and blue pig last night. When I arrived the staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The room was beautiful with a lovely bathroom, I slept really well. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cosy and comfortable pub in the heart of Lymington town with friendly service. Didn't eat but the Sunday lunches that came out when we were there looked fabulous! Good outdoor area for those sunnier days.
Very friendly welcome. Lots of information given about menu and dietary choices . Server Debs was very attentive and knowledgeable. The meal was obviously cooked to order and was really hot …… a big plus for me! The ambience was good as it was a sunny day, but the dark furniture and walls would be quite depressing on a dull day.
My Friend and I visited the Angel & Blue Pig on Friday evening. We were greeted immediately at the door by a lovely gentleman, the bar manager I believe, and shown to our table. The server, Debs, came straight to us and asked for our drinks order, which was delivered promptly. We then ordered our food, delicious and well presented. We also had dessert. Debs was the best, friendly, chatty, attentive and super enthusiastic. She obviously loves her job, and it showed. Thank you Debs for a very enjoyable experience.
I had dinner for the first time here with my friend and I have to say a big congratulations to the chef for the amazing glazed pork chop. It was done fabulously. My friend had fish and chips and he was delighted as well.
Also, I recommend non-alcholic cocktails. We had Amaretto Sour AF and Passionfruit Maryino. Absolutely lovely.
Thank you.
When we arrived we received a friendly greeting although the staff were busy. Deborah our waitress showed us to our table and looked after us for the rest of the evening. Deborah was polite, professional and had a friendly manner. The food we ordered was served on time despite there being a large group in the restaurant. The food was hot, tasty and well presented, the only downside of the evening was that there were no steaks on the menu to to having run out. This put Deborah in an awkward position but she dealt with it very well.
We had an enjoyable evening and will certainly visit again.
We had the Sunday roast, chicken and beef, and both were excellent. Juicy and every part of the dish was flavoursome. We were really hungry so that may have influenced us but I would certainly come back for more! We followed up with the sticky toffee pudding with the best caramel sauce I’ve had. The dishes are interesting with innovative twists on classics. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall a lovely visit - we’ll be back!
I have eaten here twice. First time I had the Argentinian Rib Eye which was excellent. On my second visit they had only a regular Rib Eye which was good but not Excellent.
The menu in general offers good choice. Other members in my party had the Sea Bass which also went down well.
The drinks selection is good. The service wasn’t perfect but the staff had loads of personality which meant it was easy to over look any errors or issues.
Been twice and would visit again. When in Lymington for casual dining I’d recommend either here or Eat Pizza.
One of my all time favourite meals. Aug 23, Myself and my wife went to Lymington to celebrate a significant birthday. I had the Camembert, Fillet steak (Med/Well) and cheesecake. Every element of each dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. Incredible food with brilliant service. Would not hesitate to recommend.
For a mothering Sunday I expected the place be rammed, however I was pleasantly surprised at how the place had atmosphere but you didn't feel squeezed at all.
The set lunch menu had excellent choices and superb pricing (about £30 for three courses) in this time of price inflation.
Starter, Main and dessert were all excellent and on par with one another, the dishes were thoroughly thought out and each element complimented the other. Superb portions, I was stuffed but glad that nothing was wasted from over the top portions.
Service was impeccable, almost too perfect. Attentive but not over bearing, and when I was just rubbing my spoon my my thumb and forefinger (my mother was trying to work out if it was dirty or just scratches etched in) the lady came over and swapped it out without even asking. I was astonished at the observation - I was trying to be discreet as in classic British fashion I didn't want to make a fuss.
Welcoming, calm environment and quick friendly service. Best fish and chips I think I’ve ever had! Good value and kids made to feel welcome and well catered for. Chef was Nick - he did a fantastic job. Really recommend this pub!
