Review The Globe Inn - Lympstone

Pleasant popular pub in the heart of pretty Lympstone Village. Polite staff/management and tasty menu. I opted for a small plate (see photo). Small beer garden across road from the venue which is right on the Exe Estuary - you can even walk on the sand if the tide is out and enjoy amazing sunny evenings (customers can enjoy a drink in a real glass outside, instead of one of those horrible plastic ones which is sadly the case with a lot of venues these days). Small two person tables and chairs directly outside pub too - ideal for a solo with a good book! Dog friendly pub too.

What a great place for a pint whilst walking the dog. On the day we attended a live band were playing at 21:00. The pub filled up and the evening was banging, the dog didn’t make a fuss and there were plenty of trains back to Exton, what a superb afternoon out.

Oh, what a hidden gem I found, The Globe Inn, with its treasures unbound, A place of warmth and history so profound, Where the beer flows, and the ciders abound! With 30 beers on tap, a true delight, And local ciders so crisp and bright, The atmosphere, so friendly and warm, A place to unwind, and forget life's storm. The clocks that adorn its walls so well, Ten in all, a sight to swell, And at 12 o'clock, they all chime in, A moment so unique, and full of din! The history of this inn, so rich and vast, With tales of smugglers and sailors amassed, A place of legends, and stories untold, Of daring feats, and fortunes so bold. Oh, what a fantastic experience, To visit the Globe Inn, so grand and immense, A place of warmth and history, so dear, And a true testament to the spirit of cheer!

Very quiet Wednesday night ruined for them by 13 drunk blokes. In fairness we did sort of behave and the landlady looked after us really well

Really exceptional public house and restaurant which is a great asset to Lympstone village. Very friendly and helpful staff - and customers. Dog friendly. They welcome cash - so no problems there. Looking forward to visiting again soon. The beer is great too.

We had a superb lunch at The Globe Inn, Lympstone yesterday and this far exceeded our already high expectations. We were looking for somewhere nice and a bit of googling showed us the Globe Inn so we stopped by. Whilst we were first in, we were in no rush so we sat and relaxed in the nice surroundings with a drink whilst our mussels, monkfish and ribeye steak were all prepared. We were not disappointed and I could not rate the food, service and experience more highly. It was so nice finding somewhere that isn't just offering the same old fare and there was enough fresh fish on the menu alongside other dishes that I foresee us returning multiple times in the near future. The Globe Inn is well worth a lunchtime visit and I hope you have as enjoyable a time as we did!

Held my daughter’s wedding reception at The Swan. Every element was excellent - the team could not have been more helpful or professional. Delicious food (BBQ and paella cooked outside) good wines and beers, perfect service and a lovely atmosphere. Really good value too. Thank you to all - thoroughly recommend.
