The small cod that comes with the All Day Meal 1 option was a very good size! Chips were piping hot. Very clean and polite staff. Quiet when we went at 8pm on a midweek evening in August.
Best fish n chips I've had in a long time, simply delicious, the servers were great, nice being able to sit inside! We were staying at The Crown just up the road, amazing, keep it up.
Whenever we take a trip to Lyndhurst we always stop off to see the new forest pony's., from there we walk to Bertie's for take away cod and chips, sit and eat them in the car while watching the pony's. Visited Bertie's lunch time today for the first time. What a lovely welcome from Craig, the food is simply delicious!!! We highly recommend this place. It was a very refreshing change to see such professional staff. Can not wait to visit again. Well done Bertie's!!!!
Very tasty and well cooked fish and a good sized portion. Chips were find as well. Cheese burger was also very tasty and nicely garnished. Good value for money. All in all a good experience. We had takeaway, but you can also eat in.

I dined in the restaurant section of this fish and chip shop. I got the set menu option which was reasonably priced. The fish was beautifully battered and cooked. The portion size was good and I was full for ages after. The hosts were very attentive and polite. I would recommend.

Popped in for tea after checking out the pub meals, which where quite expensive. We ate in and ordered, our food was served quickly and hot. A lovely cooked meal for alot less. Would definitely go back to eat again.

A friend and I ate lunch here. Cod, chips and mushy peas, it was really delicious, the nicest fish and chips I've had for ages. We both ordered the small portions which were very generously sized. The cafe was lovely and clean with polite friendly staff.
The fish & chips were the best I've ever had. What lost a star. They forgot to give us the bottle of Tartare sauce. It was to late to go back to get it as we didn't eat until we got back home. But overall staff & food 10 out of 10
The best cod I've eaten in years. Portion sizes are very generous although quite expensive. Would definitely return at a later date. The man waitering was very polite and helpful.
