During our holiday we stopped in every town we visited to try and test pastries. By far our top favourite is Tasty Pastries in Lyndhurst. All made on the premises. Light buttery and flaky pastry. A very broad variety of flavours. All cakes home baked too. Our favourite by far.
We stayed in Lyndhurst for 3 days and went here twice. Delicious food, spoilt for choice between Ploughman's, Pasties, well filled sandwiches and lots of sweet treats. Vegan options. It's very reasonably priced with smiling and friendly staff. Thank you.
Very tasty hot pasties, and yummy sweet treats! Everything looked so good, we struggled to choose. The staff were all very friendly and easy to talk to. There were hand sanitisers at every table, and "track and trace" QR codes to scan.
Great selection of cakes and pasties and lovely customer services. We only had cakes to takeaway. The bread and butter pudding was nice as well as the coffee meringue but the coffee and walnut cake we don’t believe wasn’t made made locally i.e production line made - it was very dry and very hard to
Fabulous cakes, great pasties (hot) and great sandwiches. There were so many cake options for gluten free too - not just the normal brownie or rocky road (they had those too) but about ten other options, from Carrot Cake to coffee meringues and everything in between. Only surprise was that the san
Delicious pastries at lunch time today. Covid measures in place. Friendly staff and lovely pastries. I had the vegan Mexican bean pasty and my husband had the extra large pasty. quick friendly service. They were very apologetic that we couldn't use their toilet and directed me to the public toilets
Absolutely beautiful sausage roll and pasty.
Freshly made, and cooking is in full view (old school) great!
Enjoyed a cappuccino and pastie. Wife and daughter has pot of tea and sausage roll. Great service. Lovely snack
A hidden gem. The staff are soooooo kind and friendly, the selection of cakes and pasties are wonderful. We ate in and we had a very pleasant experience. Highly Recommend.
Stayed near Lyndhurst over the past week and visited Tasty Pastries most days. Best Cornish pasty I’ve ever tasted, other flavoured pasties are good too. The cakes always tasted lovely and fresh. The staff are friendly, service good. The owner remembered us after one visit which was a nice touch. Do
Quite good only about 5-6 pound for a pasty and bread pudding
Ordered bacon and brie baguette with cranberry sauce. Felt very welcome and they invited our dog in as well also they brought out a bowl of water for him .fair pricing and would recommend this tea room
We popped in here for a coffee and a pasty on the first day of our holiday...ended up with a Belgian Bun too as you do! It was that good, we ended up returning 3 times AND taking some home for the family! The pastry was beautiful and the custard tarts were genuinely the best we've ever tasted. The 3
It's not modern, it's not funky. It's substantial, it's like that favourite old jumper. It's dependable. It's a must every time we come to the New Forest.
Beware No Prices Displayed……
Nice food but expensive.
11/22. Update. Since leaving this review I have used several other bakeries and they have all put there prices up a lot. I would like to stress the food was good
A cafe providing good own baked goods, such as Cornish pastry, plus many different cakes. The staff were both friendly and helpful. A good place to have lunch or pick up your lunch before going out into The New Forest or even a cake. There is inside seating as well.
I was blown away by the customer service of the fittest pastry seller I have ever met.
She even used different tongues for different types of pastries, packed it in a bag with charming smile and many tissues, the friendliest and the most attentive person I ve met in Lyndhurst. Well done!
