Just got back from a lunch for 13 people and we loved it. We had a ton of changes to our orders, special dietary requirements and kids.
The staff were super accommodating- special shout out to Debbie who looked after us all so well!
Lovely food and drinks and will definitely be back!

Have stayed here on many occasions but each time it just seems to get better. It has an excellent location just a couple of mins walk to centre of town. Rooms are always clean and fresh. They can vary in size but have all you need to a comfortable night away. The evening meals have improved every time we have stayed and were good to start with and the new full breakfast is very filling, in fact I had breakfast with friends and we had something different from each other and they were all very good. The service is excellent from all the staff under the influence of Bunny. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Cant wait for our next visit. All the best to the team from Nick and Ashley. Xx

Stopped here for a late dinner, and we were met with a friendly barman and host who immediately offered us a table of our choice. The service was excellent and friendly and very accommodating to us with our toddler who needed a high chair and a separate plate but had mostly his own supper. The food was great and very quick, and I can say try and leave space for the deserts as the ones we had were perfect (Triple chocolate Brownie with ice cream and an apple tart with cream).
I will certainly be visiting again on my next trip to the new forest.

This is not my first visit and definitely won't be my last. Absolute great and fast service, with a good standard of food. Staff are always so kind and welcoming to returning and new customers, can certainly say it is one of the best restaurants in the area, with an idiosyncratic surrounding, you can always enjoy the view.

Just had an amazing weekend in which I stayed here. The rooms were extremely spacious and the bed was very comfy. The staff were very helpful + friendly at all times of the day and would even tell us about things going on in the local area. I also proposed to my now-fiance in the room!

Stayed here on a trip to the New Forest. The bar area is lovely, and the food is excellent. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean with all expected amenities and the location of perfect, with a short walk to the highstreet. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the area. Excellent value 👏

Our society came for our annual social evening on Tuesday. We had ordered a buffet and everything in it was delicious. We had more than enough food and were provided doggy bags to take the remaining food home. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a great night and would recommend it to others. We will definitely come again. Many thanks White Rabbit team.

The best service I have had when dining out in a long time! The staff were very attentive to our family, ensuring the children were happy and had everything they needed. Our waiter was very friendly and chatty and nothing was too much trouble. The food was of a great quality too.

Muriel and Debbie made us feel very welcome. The service was excellent and the food was tasty and nicely presented. Good value for money in a friendly and nice setting.

Visited the White Rabbit for an evening meal. Great location, parking and fab garden. Sat outside on their large patio and enjoyed the warm summer evening. The food was really lovely, good portion size, tasty and perfectly cooked. Staff welcoming and attentive. Reasonable prices.

Visited the White Rabbit today, service was lovely from Beca and a blonde tall waitress. However, food not so good. Ordered the garden bowl (as usual) and received 5 pieces of halloumi, we paid £13 for this dish and £3 additionally for extra halloumi. If this is the honest size of serving then it is £1 per one thin strip of halloumi.. When questioning this the waitress agreed it did not look like extra, when she confronted the chef, as clearly annoyed, we were given one extra bit to compensate! not even thoroughly fried! for £3! that equates to £1 per tiny slice! This is unacceptable and inexplicably extortionate. Unfortunately, we will not be revisiting. Have had some really pleasant visits to this place in the past, front of house staff are consistently good but portion size and quality of food often lets it down. Thank you for lovely service, chef needs to reevaluate attitude. Consistency of dishes also needs attention.

Always make a point of visiting this lovely Pub when camping in St. Leonards. Tried to visit in May but didn't book ,so couldn't get in as too busy, so before we arrived yesterday after a lovely trip to Sandbanks we had already booked a table ! Waiting staff were very friendly and food was very nice. Pub has a lovely ambience and we love our visits there. Hopefully back in 2018 (but will book a table again) !

Warm and welcoming staff, room smelt great and very clean.
The most comfortable bed I have slept in for years. As a chronic insomniac I slept for..... 7.5 hours.
Absoulutley wonderful veggie breakfast. Can’t wait to come back again.
Highly recommended

I arrived just before 12 noon and ordered a pot of tea. Served immediately. Lunchtime special of Seabass fillet, wilted spinach and sautéed new potatoes with an excellent hollandaise sauce was well presented, excellently cooked and arrived with no undue delay. Not a great lover of Greene King Ales but the Old Golden Hen was served in immaculate condition. Staff were efficient and smiling.

Good food, very polite staff, would recommend on the experience we had, well done guys

Food was average, but service was just terrible. We could easily have gone behind the bar and helped ourselves! We were served dessert with our main course plates still in front of us! Surly and disinterested! One couple just got up and walked out whilst we were there! Why bother running a place if you just don't care?

Great food and service.
Having visited this establishment a few times previously and stayed there whenever I have been on business in the area I can say that things have improved tremendously and the new management have really made some fantastic changes to the pub and hotel.
Our last visit was for pleasure whilst we had friends visiting and the experience was excellent.
The food was served promptly with ample time between courses to reflect on and enjoy the very good selection of wines on offer.
The food itself was tasty and well presented, our server was pleasant and not overbearing in any way. She actually made helpful suggestions with regards to menu choices and wine which really made our evening.
We shared a Baked Camembert and the Butchers' Block to start and the ladies commented on how well the cheese tasted. The Butchers' Block was tasty with a great selection of items.
We had various main courses and all enjoyed our orders. My Mixed Grill was great and the black pud was nice and crispy (being a Northern boy this was important!!)>
Desserts were enjoyed by the ladies and we enjoyed the cheese board with a nice port from the bar.
All in all this was a great experience and one we hope to repeat in the near future.
Bravo all!

Went here on Saturday night, the staff were friendly but the food was awful. My husband had a prawn cocktail, some prawns arrived in a tea cup with a dollop of pink sauce on top with a few very wilted lettuce leaves on the side which he said he wouldn't even give to our tortoise ! Mains wasn't much better, I had a lasagne which was supposed to have a salad & garlic bread. The salad consisted of a few wilted lettuce leaves put on a very hot plate & that was salad, garlic bread looked like a slice from a supermarket white bread cut in two with a garlic spread on. Hubbies main was a chicken burger which was tough & tasteless, it came with a small handful of chips.... Very mean. Was going for dessert but by then we decided they had enough of our money for some very low quality food. Went with friends or we would have walked out long before. While we were there someone else was complaining & taking her meal back.
Then when we left all the lights outside were off, & we could not see where the steps were or the path, it was pitch black, this was very dangerous & a serious health & safety fact, needless to say... Never again & no wonder there were only a few people in there !!
I would liked to have directed these comments to chef & brewer but even their website doesn't work.....
