Watersmeet Tea Rooms - Lynmouth - Photo album

Once we had parked and found the entrance it was easy to find a national trust map board and choose a route down the river and through the woods. Expect to be walking up and down quite a lot on rough paths. We walked all the way to Lynmouth harbour and back following the river. Would definitely reco
The most beautiful walk. It can be challenging in parts but on the whole an easy walk to the tea rooms. We then walked back to Lynmouth. Just took us over 2 hours. Highly recommend
Absolutely stunning place to stop. Car park was £1.30 for an hour. The walk down is quite steep, there are a couple of walks you can do that start from the cafe. The cafe is national trust and served food and drink. Dog friendly. Birdwatching was fun too!
Breathtakingly beautiful walk and the house is stunning with the sound of the river running not too far away! Lovely food and a good offering for such a tiny cafe. Lots of seating outside but none inside at present Reduced to 4 stars as the set up is a bit ridiculous and took ages to get our order d
Cash only to pay for parking in the council run parking area. Free parking further up the road but a 1 mile Riverside walk to the NT owned Watersmeet cafe. The woodlands walk to Lynmouth is quite steep and high up in places . The river side walk is easier. Both very picturesque.
Lovely river walks with small waterfalls with multiple route options for distances. Enjoyed the coffee shop and outside a seating area.
Amazing walk around the slopes and waterfalls, good facilities and tea rooms. Quite steep in places so be careful! We walked arohnd in the late evening so torches are a must. The fort is very eerie in the dark!
Great National Trust gem. Beautiful walks for all abilities. Lovely tearoom, too. We spent several hours there following the river. Thoroughly recommend visiting.
There is plenty of walking route around here and beautiful scenery. The tea room does a good choice of food and drinks
*CASH ONLY* car park is on roadside and then its a short steep walk down the valley to find an enchanting stream and forest with a couple of nice walks and a quaint tea room.
Have visited Watersmeet NT many times over the years ... To get to it we always walk along the riverbank from Lynmouth and back ... Lovely cake and coffee ... Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Lovely spot for a walk with the café proving welcome refreshments after. The falls there are beautiful, though currently there are some trees obstructing the view from the foot bridge, result of storms the other year. The garden has lot of wild birds that will happily come to your table for crumbs,
Lovely walk but be prepared for a steep incline down to the river and cafe. Also parking is pay and display. Wonderful views of the waterfall and circular walks around the woods. Great spot for a Devonshire cream tea too.
We were on holiday from Norfolk...we decided to visit Watersmeet on a whim..we absolutely loved it..the walk along the river and the scenery were beautiful and would definitely visit again..
I visited on a wet and windy day, but it was still beautiful. Can't wait to visit when the weather is feeling kinder! Stopped in the cafe for some lunch, and was very pleased to find Celeriac Soup and a GF Cream Tea available and I wasn't disappointed - delicious!! I shared my scone with a very frie
If you are in lynton this is a beautiful little walk. I would definitely recommend it
Lovely walks along side the rivers with a few waterfalls along route. Good walk for dogs that like swimming. Cafe available in the peak season (not entirely sure of opening hours). Car parking is available but limited number of spaces. watch out as the ticket machine is cash only!! (Would be great i
Watersmeet is an old favourite special place. Known for its fabulous lunches and teas. On a recent visit, where I had planned a special lunch for hubby's birthday, we were very disappointed with the basic fare on offer. Even the cream tea wasn't up to the standard of other visits. So disappointe
