Had their Scottish breakfast is better than any Scottish breakfast I have had in Scotland. The prices are affordable and the new owners are friendly and help full. If I could mark this ten out of ten it would be given a resounding 11. Peter

Found this cafe by chance, looking for coffee and soup. Excellent root vegetable soup with baguette. Really good strong coffee. The proprietors were really charming and helpful. They took over the cafe last tear and deserve to do well. Good, varied menu, and good value.

Great tea room. Current owners took it over a couple of weeks ago and this is their first foray in to running this kind of business. They're a friendly, chatty family run business serving great food and coffee. We were enticed in by the promise of foot long Bratwurst and Frankfurters but found a menu chock full of delights from birthday cake slushies to apple pie waffles via some dirty ranch and sweet potato fries. All the food was excellently prepared and tasted great, we had some picky children in the party including one with autism, one with an egg allergy and one who wanted a breakfast bap minus the bun...they dealt with it all in a slick but friendly and helpful way. It's only a small place with about 10 covers in the front and the same in a garden to the rear but the environment is nice. There were 6 in our party so we dominated the space but this led to positive interactions with other customers enhancing the friendly atmosphere. Front of house the fact this is a family set up is a bonus with the unspoken interplay between the team that can only come from living or working in close proximity for many years. Our order started arriving almost as soon as it had been taken. On speaking with the owners what comes across is their love for the place and their passion to deliver quality both front and back of house. They really impressed the whole party, so much so that I got the opportunity to educate my daughter when she decided to leave her first ever tip.
