Arrived to a half empty pub due to rugby World Cup final, not the norm as usually really busy.
That said the food and service was excellent as usual. Would highly recommend an evening meal here.

Must go! Food is utterly delicious!
Went there for dinner during a road trip. On that day their oven was out of service so, most of their meat options were 86 but then… the most gorgeous and tasty Sunday Roast was served. If that is without oven… imagine with! Sorry, no pics because we were VERY hungry and forgot. 🤪

What a charming place, we are here for the weekend and decided to pop in for dinner. The front of house Nige was superb, most attentive and engaging and gave us a table even without a reservation. The food was perfect and well cooked too as per the pics. We will be back. Many thanks Nige and his chef team.

Why have I not been here before, staff couldn't do enough without being overbearing, food choices wide and varied choices, meat eating, veg and vegan, beautifully cooked and presented, overall stunning place, thank you for the experience ❤

Went for dinner on a Friday evening. The pub is traditionally decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The menu is exactly what you’d expect from a pub, with only a few surprises on the specials board. However the execution is excellent. It’s not fancy, but the food is cooked with good attention to detail and is very tasty. I had duck bon bons, lasagne and then waffles and ice cream. Everything was home made and well cooked.
There’s a decent selection of wines, although we didn’t try any.
It’s not fancy, and not somewhere to take someone to impress them, but if you just want somewhere casual, that serves tasty homemade food, then this is a good choice.
