Lovely pub me a bunch of girls came for food but the cook off sick. But the bar man felt our pain for chips and surprised with a plate full and bottles free of charge... How kind thank you so much we will be back xx

Had a pint and a friendly chat with landlord there today during a visit to Machynlleth where I tried two other pubs. This one was the only one that felt like a welcoming, comfortable and homely place. It doesn't look great from the outside but go in - you won't be disappointed.

Very clean pub, family friendly the beer garden is huge also with shelter. Also a sun trap which helps in the summer. The owners are lovely and down to earth can't do enough for you. A nice drink next to the wood fire will go down lovely this Christmas.

Visited the pub today there were 6 of us and had the best meal of our whole holiday. Not one single thing I could fault. The Liver and onions were to die for and would highly recommend. The sandwiches were presented beautifully surrounded by salad and crisps and the Spaghetti my brother had was finished in no time. They were excellent value for money. The staff are lovely and next time we are up this way I will definitely be calling in again for a meal or two. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Very nice pub with a fireplace which makes you feel absolutely cozy. Perfect Guinness and nice guests you'll find here.

Couldn't beat this pub. The Guinness is as good as all the reviews say! The locals were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time there. Pool table and lovely beer garden. Recommend to book the roast ahead of time as it sells out fast. The landlord was so welcoming and friendly and really looked out for us hungry pair who hadn't planned ahead.

Lovely establishment! We are not from around town and were welcomed like locals! The landlord even tried his best to speak our language (french). If it were not for our 100km cycle the next day we would have stayed longer. Best pub in town!

We had a great evening there on 13 nov 21. Local gent particularly friendly, giving up his seat for our party. Great craft beers, bar staff couldn't have been more helpful. I managed to leave my rucksack, no drama, called in following day to collect. Great place and staff
