A good local chippy with an excellent quality of food. In my opinion one of the best in the country. And I travel around 30000 miles a year in Northern Ireland so I have seen them all, the good the bad and the absolutely outstanding just like the golden chip.
Great food but they could do with changing up the menu and adding on new additions. Same old menu for quite a few number of years now!
Probably the best chips you will EVER eat 😍😍 honestly the best chippy in the country and feel so fortunate I live so close, not good for the waistline though! Steak kebab on chips is my firm favourite 👌

Food was very good. Good portion size in a good container. Really enjoyed it would recommend. For me one of the best chippys in the surrounding area.
A very busy carryout .. social distancing in place with sanitiser for customers entering .. lots of food varieties on the menu .. chose fish & chips and as always in good food places it was a 20 minute wait on the fish being cooked properly .. I wasn't disappointed the chips were really tasty and the fish was excellent .. five stars to this place .. plenty of staff on hand to deal with phone in customers and callers like myself .. would highly recommend 'The Golden chip'
excellent takeaway food, on of the best in the area. Can be very busy at weekends. On occasions had to go back in as stuff had been missing in my order but still worth 5*
Fine food served, they do a nice stew, which had a positive effect; had an interesting chat with the lad serving, regarding a common interest in food preparation. Enroute home from my destination, l again called sampling some pleasant chicken coujons; just not in cooking form that night.
