Popped in for a drink, the staff were super friendly, the pub was cosy, drinks were very reasonably priced and there was a lot of selection! Plenty of seating areas indoors and outdoors depending on what you’re looking for.

Great pub with friendly staff, tasty Sunday lunch and large garden (dog friendly). Will definitely come back, leave car and go on one of the circular walks.

So, moving families all over the country, and into Wales etc, it’s our duty to seek out the nearest possible places to eat.
I’ve now been to The Golden Lion twice this year. I’ve parked the lorry on Magor Services over night and took a 15 - 20 minute walk to this establishment, which is really worth it!
The food is amazing, lovely staff. Friendly atmosphere. When I come to Wales this is definitely a place I will visit for food.
Looking forward to next time!
