Our third wedding anniversary was celebrated at the Plough yesterday evening and we both found it to be not just memorable, but a total culinary experience. The selection of real ales and lagers was overwhelming and personally as a real ale guru I found it to be just perfect. The wide and varied selection of wines were amply explained by knowledgeable staff and did not disappoint in any way. Good starters and fast table service ensured we were ready for the main course assault. We were very impressed with the fine meats and accompanying vegetables. All of which arrived piping hot and in large quantities. Pudding is just a must and I personally recommend the selection of Kent ice creams to challenge the palate. In summary a fine and worthy meal in relaxed surroundings with customer focussed staff. We will be back there again very soon for some more culinary delights. You made our anniversary a night to remember.

The Plough’s decor makes it inviting and has some lovely cosy features. The dining room has an unusual feature - a huge window looking into the kitchen. Couldn’t fault the food - the crab & lobster risotto and goats cheese strudel starters were excellent as well as the pork belly with great crackling and the braised oxtail was fab. For well prepared & presented food it is worth a visit - enjoy!

Lovely experience at The Plough Yesterday (26th October) Didn’t have a booking but was still seated, I opted for a burger and the grandparents chose Ham, Egg and Chips. Everything was presented well and tasted delicious. Waitress was lovely and made us feel welcomed. Definitely deserves 5 Stars.

Went to The Plough for Sunday lunch, have been there a couple of times in the past. The staff are very attentive. We ordered a roast chicken and a rodeo burger, oh my goodness the roast was really tasty, was breast and leg, with roast potato, broccoli, carrot parsnip, cabbage and cauliflower cheese. The other halves burger was huge he said it was delicious. The chips were perfectly cooked as well. We then had the apple and pear crumble with custard, just the one which we shared. With drinks our bill came to around £50. Would recommend this place but make sure you book as it was extremely busy

Utterly perfect in every respect! Wonderful service and wonderful food. So friendly to dogs. Great hospitality and just stunningly excellent while the chef is a true maestro! My partner and i and our two dogs popped in for lunch yesterday and oh my word we had never tasted such delicious or such excellently prepared food. Our cream of mushroom soup was light and fragrant and piping hot. It was creamy and mellow and served with fresh bread and country butter. We were amazed by how substantial and yet how light and great tasting this beautiful and depthy soup was. We moved on to a gorgeous tasting and fantastically crafted chicken and mushroom puff pastry pie served with potatoes delicately pan fried and a fantastic selection of mange tout and brocculi and other veg all served with a deeply delicious gravy made NOT from a packet but from genuine stock. The pie was to die for. My choice was the steak ale and stilton puff pastry pie and - my God, it was sublime. The deepest most intense flavours with the most succulent beef. This indeed was fine and rare food. The king of pies. The type of pie you'd walk a million miles for or break into a bank just to get a bite of. Our food was so richly delicicious we forgot all about our pint of spit fire and coke and just tucked in while our dogs sat under the table waiting for us to slip them a bit of puff pastry. This is adult food. Pies youd die for. And the service was amazing. First class in ebery respect in fact. The handsome young man dressed in black on the bar was cool and fantastic. The beautiful young blonde lady who looked after our table was a star who ought to be on the books of a Hollywood modeling agency. And the lady manager in the long pencil skirt emanated an aura of sophistication and first class customer care skills. She was so kind and beautiful with such classic bone structure that Grace Kelly would have loved. The crew at the plough operate as a seamless cohesive operating team. The chef and the crew in the galley deserve the highest praise. It was like watching synchronised dancers as they effortlessly and gracefully provided meals to their customers with a first class delivery of services. After 15 years of living in America it was just beautiful to come home and see the very best of British alive and well at the plough! I was well impressed. The pies and pints and the service at the plough make it worth coming home for. Forgot something else - the 2 delicicious beautiful gold wrapped mint chocolates which arrived at the end of our meal. Pure class. Thank you!

Just moved into the area and lucky to have this pub just 20 mins walk away, had a Sunday roast (belly of pork) and it was delicious. Bar staff and waitresses very nice and helpful. Highly recommended 👌

One of the best Sunday roast lunches I have eaten, with exemplary service and lovely surroundings. The owners pulled out all the stops for the Valentine weekend and we were greeted with roses, petals and candles on the tables which looked lovely! We ordered the Chicken Wings and Prawn Cocktail for starters, then the Beef and Chicken Roast as mains - all the food was delicious, cooked to perfection and generous. The service from all staff was excellent and it was a nice touch to see in to the kitchen via a huge window. Overall 5/5 and we will return!
