Great food, reasonable prices, great location. The staff were lovely and very professional. Harvey's beer excellent. Will visit again. A stand out treat for me was the wonderful onion rings with the sausage and mash! The halloumi burger was fabulous. Service was quick.
Quintessentially a lovely 17th Century Inn that is just slightly off the main road, but not difficult to find. Has a certain ambience and the food ordered was superb, good service also (would have given it 5 stars, but it lost the final point because of when asking for the bill I was given the total
First time eating here and very impressed. Always difficult for me eating out, as I'm intolerant of gluten and dairy (mainly milk and cheese). I was so pleased to see several possibilities on the menu and also highlighted. I chose the GF fish & chips simply because for me its a rare treat, I was no
Lovely pub, friendly staff, great food and nice variety of drinks. Breakfast is amazing too! What more can you ask for?
This is The Pub for a perfect Friday post-work beer. Nelson's and Neck Oils, what more could you ask for? Just always remember, no vaping dogs. Spinning them in down the Babbling on Friday? Be rude not to.
Lovely Sunday roast and friendly table service let down by all male regulars sat along the length of the bar, so only able to order at the far end and they were loud and quite distracting from what would have been a perfect Sunday afternoon pub visit.
I’ve often popped into this pub for a drink and/or snack after a walk from Maidstone along the beautiful Loose Valley. It’s a lovely pub with a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service and friendly staff. Great sandwiches too! Thank you to all the staff at the Chequers
Best chips ever!!! And the staff were all really really lovely. Can't wait to go back. Beautiful location too.
Nice open back beer garden. Staff were friendly and very relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful pub with great service. Check on special events it’s a popular spot!
Lovely bit of Kent, Top class pub for food and drink 🍸
I would like to thank Shaw and all the team at The Chequers Inn for putting on a wonderful wake for my Mum. It was her favourite place which holds so many memories for all our family and friends. They put on a buffet which was fantastic, and all family and friends enjoyed reminiscing about old times
Good food. Reasonable prices. Staff friendly and helpful.
Never visited before, just searched Google for places to eat on our way home. Very welcoming, sometimes in small pubs, can feel like its locals only , but wasn't the case. Nice menu and food was good. Would definitely revisit.
A very nice building in a picturesque village. Staff friendly and service quick. Not too pricey. Sits by a stream where kids can paddle. Large outdoor seating area with enclosed grassy area for kids to play in. Interior barely changed from the way I remember it on family outings in the 70s and 80s.
Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Set in a lovely location with good walks nearby. Wasn't particularly busy which was perfect to have a good selection of seating and fast service. In my view the food menu isn't particularly inspiring but everything we had was freshly prepared and well cooked. Grea
