Have been to Thai orchid a few times for dinner but had our first go at the Sunday buffet this weekend. It’s not set up like a traditional buffet, you’re able to order 2 dishes each at a time, as many times as you would like. I thought this was such a great way to do it. We definitely wasted less food and it meant that every dish came out fresh and was so full of flavour. There’s a really good variety on the menu and you can go back to starters even if you’ve moved on to mains. We ordered some extra prawn tempura with our mains because they were so delicious!
The staff were so helpful and friendly and really quick with plates and bills. The only feedback we would have was for our in laws. They aren’t amazing with spicy food and would have liked some kind of indicator of how hot the dishes are 🙈. Not a problem for us but I think some might not be ready for the spice levels!
Proper, fresh Thai food, for £20 a head. I think this is due to go up to £25 a head but the quality would still be worth it, for sure.
Beautiful views, food was wonderful - asked the staff for recommendations. Really enjoyed the piña colada mocktail. Crispy sweet chilli duck also amazing. Lovely place to go for dinner.
I can't emphasise how amazing of a place this is. The deals here seem too good to be true because the food is phenomenal. The staff are really helpful and patient when explaining deals and they really do act like they want you to have the best time. I can't wait to come back- any celebration will be an excuse to return with friends and family!

Nice place for Moo lrata feeling like go back to Thailand once we ate there, the owner pretty noce recommended to have Moo krata there during Sat-Sun
Great authentic Thai food, and the service was really great, too. Also an inexpensive meal with lots of choice from the 2 nexus availble.
Can't wait to visit again.
On the beautiful Maidstone Town Centre setting beholds the Thai Orchid Restaurant. It is a wonder in itself, with design queues from Thai gardens, cruise ships and cocktail bars. It’s a large space, the ground floor caters the drinkers and the 1st floor caters for the diners. The diner’s window-side view is beautiful, calm and relaxing. There’s even a cozy little outdoor area for those summer heat wave days.
The staff are hospitable and ensure the relaxed feeling extends further. Food and service is fast, best of all it’s a excellent value. Their 3 course weekly set menu will set you back less than £20.
Really amazing food and lovely people serving. We tried the Thai green chicken, Thai red prawn, lamb massaman, pad Thai, sea bass and each dish was delightful. The views are to match, fully recommend.
Thai Orchid is conveniently located in the heart of Maidstone with nice views overlooking both a busy intersection and the river. The dedicated parking lot is a little small but luckily we arrived when the place was mostly empty. Being our first visit we didn't know what to expect but found the food to be both tasty and affordable. I thought the plating, while pretty, did seem to be a little wasteful and can't imagine how much gets thrown into the bin after a day of service. I would much prefer something more edible than simply Instagram ready. Also the service while efficient was also cold. Our courses were delivered and we were ignored, without even the offer of drink refill or dessert. For a couples night out the atmosphere was a bit too clinical but at least the food is good.
Beautiful and serene atmosphere to dine. Food was very fresh and delicious. Customer service first to none and not received that good service in a long time. Prices a bit on the high side but will compensate that with the quality of good and service. I'll be visiting again and again. Thank you for a good night and a very nice delicious meal.
