Excellent little pit-stop just off the A14. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay, but it was a pretty place with pleasant surroundings and a lovely cosy pub with friendly staff. Recommend.
When it is a miserable wet night and you don’t want to cook or shop after work The Stag produced a warming meal of Steak and Ale Pie and Fish Pie. So reasonably priced, promptly delivered in a nice warm and cosy environment and lovely lady at the bar - M - you know who I mean. Thank you .
6 of us had lunch after a good walk this week. Lovely area and good food for all of us, thank you.

Food excellent Employee attitude excellent Disabled attitude poor Landlord - O.M.G. Be aware front parking is reserved for Audis and other cars worth at least £30K. If you park anything else in sight of the road then the landlord will come out and demand you move it out of sight. If you are disab
Lovely old pub, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small but had everything we needed, very clean, nicely decorated and with a good powerful shower. A good varied menu, food was plentiful and well presented, the pub was really busy with very friendly locals. Breakfast was great.
Delicious food, friendly staff, pretty setting. Lots of tables in the garden.
A very pleasant meal with friends and family. Very nice staff
Booked a table for 2 on the recommendation of family who've eaten at The Stag. Food excellent, freshly cooked to perfection. Friendly welcome and attentive staff throughout. Definitely going back.
Great pub and very friendly locals. The Levy Circus really love playing our music here to a very appreciative crowd that clearly show great taste in music!
Seems like a great pub with good atmosphere 💯
Went here for lunch. Excellent food & service.
Stunning. It's the first time I'd been in this pub and was very impressed. The food was gorgeous and the bar staff really made you feel welcome. The landlord even came over and had a chat. Very friendly place with really good food.
One of the most friendliest village pubs around. Robert and his team always welcomes us with open arms. I hold 2 or 3 meetings here a year with up to 16 people and it is never a problem. Keep doing what you keep doing.
Great food here. Lovely and helpful staff couldn't do enough to make sure our visit was an enjoyable experience. Would definitely return to this pub / restaurant next time I am in the area and would more than recommend it to anyone wanting a good (albeit with a limited menu at the moment) meal out.
Nice village pub, have a room turned into a cafe, had a lovely coffee and cake. Also has seating outside.
