Queen Victoria - Maldon - Photo album

After a long drive from London, we stopped at the pub for food. The welcoming staff and service were remarkable. I ordered the smoked haddock with stilton and my husband ordered the burgers. Both options were delicious. With my food. I had vegetables which were cooked to perfection and in lieu of th
We went here on a whim to try their food. We were not disappointed. I had a steak and ale pie which was a real pie totally encased in pastry. Superb!! Then went out to see the garden. What a pleasant surprise ( see photos) definitely would recommend.
We had soft drinks, mains, dessert and coffee. I personally had the Lasagne which was lovely and meaty, the best I've ever had outside of making it myself. And the base on the Cheesecake, which I had plain as not a fruit fan, was the best ever. As for the staff, absolutely fantastic. Well done every

This was my first visit to the pub, but it won't be my last. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and plush furnishings in the dining area, and the food was superb. Although it was a Monday evening, it was very busy. It's obviously a popular

Would highly recommend, The Queen Victoria. The food is great, the service is great. The pub is not a particularly large pub, cosy i would say. I have eaten in here twice and both times the food was lovely. The only down side is that the pub is not my local, I go to this pub when I visit friends in
