Fabulous place. The people are lovely. The food excellent the ambiance perfect. He background music is brilliantly classic. It's great sitting outside on a warm day -even in winter as they provide hot water bottles and blankets. Can thoroughly recommend it.
Loved our visit to Mrs Salisbury’s famous tea rooms last week.
I took my Mum & 3 year old Daughter out for lunch as a treat for my Mums birthday.
The menu has a good selection of sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, ploughman’s etc....
We ordered the Cheese ploughman’s, was absolutely lovely.
The kids menu is good too & really reasonable.
I just wish we had room for the cake. Which they all looked amazing in the cake shop across the road.
What an absolutely delightful venue.... such a charming building, the service was brilliant from all the staff, and the food was excellent. I can't wait to go back and take some friends so they also discover how lovely it is
Very pleasant tea room. The sandwiches are very nice and actually come with salad, not a few random leaves and a bit of tomato and cucumber.😊 There is plenty of space outside (where we sat) and the staff we friendly and warm. All family enjoyed. Recommend a visit.
We visited for an afternoon tea, I am so glad we did! It was amazing! The food, the staff, the atmosphere everything. We was in the circus room on the top floor it was so magical. We cannot wait to go back to try their breakfast and lunch menu.
Absolutely delicious scones with clotted cream! Never have I had any better than these.
The lemon drizzle cake was also great.
We were quickly seated and served menus.
Our food arrived soon after and we had a great time.
It is a bit noisy, and I don't think we needed the radiator on with almost 15 degrees weather outside, but great either way.
Not too expensive, but definitely not cheap.
If we had more time i would love to try the full tea experience. Next time...
Such a lovely place to have lunch with friends. Individual dining rooms each uniquely decorated.
The afternoon teas are exceptional value for money and the lunch menu equally so, with large portions.
The staff are super polite and the dining experience is relaxed and informal.
Was lovely to be served by Chloe today.
Amazing, and quirky probably describes this place to a T.
It has to be said, this is great for a treat or celebration... their afternoon teas are amazing - the tiers are well stocked, all of the sandwiches were very fresh, and the cakes were as they should be for each of the selections they had on there.
It's fair to say that these people throw themselves into their business and service, it was a really enjoyable event and well managed from start to finish. If I could suggest one thing, it's to try some of their teas - cloud catch is my new favourite, I just need someone with a bigger wallet than mine to buy me some!
Certainly somewhere I would recommend and use again.
Great afternoon tea staff attentive without being over the top.
Good choice of cakes and sandwiches
Would definitely recommend
Wow... what a fabulous place (assuming you like cake and tea!)
I took my wife here for afternoon tea with family (including children) and we had a lovely time. Children also get their own afternoon tea which is on their own plate and includes things that they are likely to eat. I also asked for certain sandwiches on one of the kids ones and they did this with no problem.
The adults afternoon tea comes out as you would expect on a tiered structure and on ours we had cream cheese with mint, chicken and pine nut, and smoked salmon sandwiches. Next there were some scones and then on top about 4 types of cake. We struggled to get through it all and we took home a little box of goodies to eat the next day!
In terms of drinks we tried out a few new ones we had never tried including the Cloud factory tea which was a nice fruity one. There is plenty to choose from! The kids afternoon tea comes with fruit juice and / or flavoured milk.
We had a lovely time here and would recommend to others - we are also debating how long we can leave it before we go again!!
We travelled about an hour away just to go here, and this has been by far the best afternoon tea experience we have ever had! The food was delightful and the portions more than plentiful, the service was so attentive, and we made full use of the unlimited teas which were so good. The staff also went out of their way to cater to our allergies and food preferences having discussed with them beforehand. All this and the price was half that if not even less than you would pay elsewhere. Cannot recommend this place enough!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch today with our little girl (1 and a half). Food was great quality, atmosphere was very relaxed and staff were really lovely. Sometimes eating out with an energetic toddler can be a bit stressful, however nothing was too much bother at Mrs S's! High chair and change facilities very convenient. Perfect for a special lunch for all ages. Thank you. 😊
