Myself and my husband booked a table for afternoon tea on the Saturday of the Easter weekend. The tea was a double celebration for my Nans 90th Birthday and a belated Mothers Day treat for both our Mums and my word are we glad we chose here!
Hayley was so friendly and helpful upon my initial enquiry and went out of her way to fit us in and find out if the tea was for a special occasion.
The food was absolutely delicious and there was so much choice, which is unusual for an afternoon tea. Each of us had our own stand with a personal selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes chosen by us from the menu which was perfect as we all have very different tastes. I have never know anywhere offer this kind of selection before!
The tea was never in short supply and we never had to ask for a refill which was such a refreshing experience from other afternoon teas!
The tearoom itself is absolutely lovely with a beautiful atmosphere - my Nan in particular loved the vintage memorabilia! The vintage crockery and embroidered napkins made the whole experience even better! My Nan was also extremely touched by the birthday card she received from Hayley and the team, as was I.
I cannot recommend The Vintage Rose enough and will most definitely be returning.
This is a little hidden gem just off Maldon High Street. Hubby and I have been here twice now, and on both occasions, we were made to feel very welcome. Even when it was busy, the service was still excellent. The scones are home made, fresh and taste wonderful, and all the vintage crockery adds a unique touch. The array of cakes and scones on the sideboard was mouth watering. Thoroughly recommend this tea room and will definitely be returning.
Had a Hen party on the 30th September and it was absolutely amazing!!
Sandwiches were completely fresh with great fillings, cakes were delicious and staff were consistent and very helpful with dietary needs. The cakes catered for everyone in our hen party being gluten and dairy free which not many places do. We had a wonderful time. Anyone wishing to book for a Hen party definitely should. I would 100% be booking another afternoon tea!!
Cracking little cafe. It was all Harry Potter these when we went and the scones were lovely.
The other meals we saw being served looked damn good as well

I came here the other day with few friends , they were very catering towards me being vegan and another one of us being vegetarian. There is so much on offer ! Most of their cakes are vegan and dairy free too ! Would 100% recommend ! Amazing atmosphere and very welcoming staff !

Hidden gem! We had a lovely lunch after being recommended by a friend. Wide range of tea's and other drinks. I won't say too much about the interior as I don't want to spoil it, go and find out!
Charming tea room with varying themes every couple of months, food was lovely and the decorations / theme was wonderful. The tea room is tucked away from the hustle and bustle and we will definitely be back.

A charming little tearoom. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent. Aside from the wonderful assortment of teas, coffees, hot chocolates and other drinks they also have a wide variety of cakes and sandwiches. We would definitely recommend this tearoom and will certainly revisit as dogs are welcome inside as well.
Had a fantastic afternoon tea. Very well looked after. Huge amount of effort put into the Alice in Wonderland theme.
Fantastic place! We went to have a light lunch, and both had the toasties - they came with loads of lovely salad, delicious homemade coleslaw and some plain crisps. I had the chicken, mozzarella and pesto toasties, which were gorgeous! Very generous helpings, it was a bit more than a light lunch. We also got a huge pot of tea, and the service was really friendly. The place was decorated with an Alice in Wonderland theme, which gave it a great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
