The Sunny Sailor has a brilliant location on the sunny side of the River Chelmer at the bottom of Market Hill. It is very popular on sunny evenings with large crowds sitting outside on the river walls.
What a wonderful time I had and the outside drinking area right on the water was Picturesque absolutely stunning . Lots of room to relax with friends . Will definitely Be going back there
Pleasant lunch with regular group of friends. Good value, good riverside location, Even better if the tide is in and the sun is shining. Can't blame anybody for that. Last went there a few years ago and was not impressed, but pleased to say much improved. Will be going back. Back on the lunch list.

Very very well kept ale. The bar staff know how to keep thr ale to perfection, good choice of beer. Very clean bar tables snd toilets, amazing views and alot of history. A damn fine pub.

Lovely pub to end the night in. Great music and nice customers. Managed to chat to a few people. The pet dog was gorgeous.
Great place good atmosphere walking distance from where my wife and I were staying had good food and drink worth a visit we will use it again when we come back that way to see our friends well done 👏
Good location, nice choice of beer.. however seriously need more staff.. given your location will make this the place to be whenever the weather is nice.. so being able to get a drink/served is a must.. sadly today you massively failed 😞
Riverside pub with friendly welcome. Reasonably priced food. I had a cheese omelette and my wife had mango chilli sausages. Good beer including a lovely local brew. Great place for dog owners as dogs are welcomed. We enjoyed our visit with a view of the river bank.

I brought my mum here for Lunch. It is a great location, we sat outside by the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. Menu - basic pub food but good and fresh. Great crispy, well cooked chips.
