Rose & Crown - Maldon - Photo album

For a Wetherspoon pub this was great. A historic building in the middle of the High Street in a very nice little town in East Anglia! We didn't realise it was a Wetherspoon until the menu showed up, so pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and well prepared food. Eve
For context this was Wednesday afternoon - so customers but not crazy like I imagine Friday/Saturday nights. Great festival alea at a decent price. Good service... Pleasant atmosphere with WiFi - handy if like me just fancy an ale and listen to some podcasts. I didn't try the food but the menu is ex
One of Wetherspoons better establishments. Has a traditional pub feel to it. Only downside was we were a large group and at last orders a couple of is waited at the bar to be served then the bar person said they were closed. When we said we were waiting from before closing time they said the manager
Typical Wetherspoons, good value and good food options. Ordering by the app works well. Lots of space inside and some outside. Good location in the high street with Butt Lane car park behind.
Nice pub. Great value as always. Disappointed that we didn't get our peppercorn steak and when we asked for it they wanted us to pay extra although it was part of the deal :( but the food was still very nice
It’s a Wetherspoons! No more no less. Great value for money, huge selection of beers served in good condition. The Rose and Crown has a pleasant ambience and good service. The food is rather average but you can’t complain for the price.
The pub looked small from the outside but once you went inside it was very big and spacious, staff were very helpful and friendly, had outside area where you could also eat or just drink, food was good, didn't have to wait long at all,
Thank you for severe nice food in amazing price
Always a good place to meet friends, have a nice meal and a drink. Very relaxed atmosphere, polite and friendly service. Not too expensive.
I have become a big fan of Weatherspoon, they cater for vegans, have the best selection of none alcoholic beers I found anywhere and you can have as much coffee as you like.
Last minute decision to eat out, never had a bad meal in a 'Spoons. Great value.
Great pub on the high street with an outdoor seating area at the rear to relax in while the sun shines. Usual quality selection of food and drink available along with the smartphone app to order from your table.
A fairly recent addition to Wetherspoon's as pubs go nicely placed in Maldon High Street I personally found it quiet and inviting although I can imagine it would get quite hectic at some times typical Wetherspoons prices I found the staff friendly and efficient lots of nice alcoves to get a table in
