Very welcoming and great food, we took our dog as they are dog friendly and he was made a fuss of and got a fresh bowl of water and a sausage free of charge. Will definitely visit again.

Visited Serendipity today and what a wonderful experience we had!
My children and I were warmly greeted, and the beautiful, quaint surroundings were so inviting and cosy! The food was served quickly and was very tasty and really good sized servings.
Even the music set a wonderfully restful and warm mood.
Highly recommend and will most certainly be returning again
Thank you, a ray of sunshine on a grey day!

Fantastic little tea room. Very good value for money.
I have been here twice for afternoon tea, most recently for their festive afternoon tea, and you certainly don't leave hungry!
It isn't fine dining finger sandwiches with a tiny smear of cream cheese and wafer thing cucumber. These are homemade, well filled, sandwiches.
The cakes and shortbread were delicious. And the sausage roll was the best I've had.
Service was great and staff very helpful.
Highly recommend

Such a pretty tea room with a courtyard as well. Gorgeous tea and handmade cake. We will come back for lunch next time as the specials on the board were very tempting. Love all the handmade gifts upstairs. Would thoroughly recommend as you can have a browse around and gorgeous cakes or food.

I would highly recommend Suzie's gift and tea shop , I popped in on Saturday for a coffee and also enjoyed a lovely gluten free brownie ( not many places offer gf ). Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Also to the rear of the shop is a quaint little gift shop hosting lots of hand made gifts made by local artisan. Will definitely be visiting again soon .

We had a lovely tasty lunch in the tea shop, our dog got given a bowl of water and tasty treats too. The courtyard is lovely on a warm day, there are interesting potted gardens to look at too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gift shop has lovely things to buy, ideal for holiday gifts or just for treats!

I love visiting Suzie's Tea Shop for lunch or tea and cake! Wherever I go I like to try the local tearoom and Suzie's is one of my favourites. The food is all freshly homemade and served on vintage china, in the perfect setting of the beautiful old building, complimented by the vintage decor. I find it hard to resist the specials and the cakes! The staff are always so friendly too. If that wasn't enough, there is also a gift shop with work from local makers. If you are visiting the Maldon area, I'd definitely recommend a visit!

What a gorgeous, friendly tea shop! Couldn't believe my luck when I came across this pretty little find! Friendly staff, hot food and tea, served quickly and politely, the whole experience was just perfect. And, to top it off, they have shelves of locally handmade items for sale. The ideal place for a bit of 'me time' and shopping! Thank you Suzie and team, I'll be back again soon!

I was so impressed with our afternoon tea which we had on Christmas eve. From my initial contact via facebook messenger through to collecting the afternoon tea communication was excellent, considering dietary needs 1 vegetarian, 1 dairy intolerant a child and a normal eater!! They catered for us all amazingly and asked questions via messenger to make sure they catered for everyone's needs correctly. The food was delicious and plentiful being a veggie I always feel we dont get much of a choice when it comes to afternoon tea but I had so much choice. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely place and found the staff so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for our Christmas afternoon tea even got crackers to pull with it.

I love it here. The staff are so friendly and I love that I can bring my dog in with me. The food is amazing especially the puddings. In the winter they always have a nice fire going. They also sell craft items a real gem of a place
