What a find, a brewery tap. Not just in name with an actual brewery attached. Really lovely helpful barman to help you through the draught options and a fridge full of all their cans if you fancy something different.

Had a fantastic afternoon. Six of us did the brewery tour with Simon. Very interesting and informative and a good laugh. Then to the tap room to sample the first class beers. I would highly recommend the brewery tour or just a visit to the tap room.

Fantastic dog friendly tap house, selling merch, a brilliant range of brews including local ciders, with a fab playlist and wonderfully kind, friendly locals who make the place an even better tap house than it was already. Being made to feel welcome, with locals and the staff making a fuss of the dogs as well, it is most definitely visiting and having a few fantastic drinks. Bad Kitty is always the star of the show, but if visiting soon, try the Christmas version as it's gorgeous.

Awesome place! We've been in Malton on holiday and to visit this very small local brewery for some let- the- holidays-begin-pints was the first thing we had to do :-). The staff and the other locals were very, very nice- we felt very welcome and had nice company. The beer- fantastic! 😍. So... definitely worth a visit even from farer away. No food served but there are crisps and nuts ;-)

Great beer, every time and a great range. Some excellent cans from other breweries too alongside their excellent stuff. Nice space out back for a pint, good social distancing and Cvd19 safety measures. Friendly team too! :-)

A great little tap room in Malton! The beer is some of the best in the country and as a vegan it's nice to be able to drink in peace as they always go out of their way to make it clear that their beer is vegan . This coupled with the option to bring in your own food or food from the local takeaways that provide some great vegan food make this a perfect spot to spend an evening . Also there are some wonderful canine regulars that you might just get to meet . Well worth the train from York .Check it out !!

As a world traveler and passionate craft beer enthusiast from the United States this has been the first home away from home of brewery's I have found. Now implementing flights, Crowlers, will even do a growler fill for you they are at the for front of the craft beer scene in Yorkshire. I had a blast killing a few brews and the owner/brewer came and sat with us for awhile. Really appreciated the conversation and time he took away from his gig to talk beer. I will be back without a doubt and recommend this place to any one!

I visited with my dog Harry yesterday. I had lovely beer and awesome vegan cake! It was so yummy! Harry got lots of fuss and treats too. Great beer, great food and friendly service. We will be back to sample the array of gins available soon!

After hearing about this on Sheffield Vegan group we decided to tie in a visit to Whitby and visit here on the way back. I was under the impression they did food but all that was available was a cake bought in from a local deli, which although tasted lovely was not enough when we were expecting to eat a meal. The owners kindly offered to let us eat some takeaway in there but whilst my husband was waiting for pizza down the road, a man came over and tried to sit in his chair and was extremely aggressive to me and my daughter so we had to leave, I told the manager on the way out and he didn't seem surprised as the man had already been in there bothering other people without the owners doing anything. I found the visit very disappointing considering this has been marketed as a great place for vegans.

Had a great chat with Ben & the guys at Brass Castle about their beers. Very friendly bunch and a great space to sample the fruits of their hard labour.
We were taken there on a Brewtown Tours half day trip from York to Malton and Pickering to visit 3 breweries in total, which was great as well, as we travelled in a very comfy minibus and were therefore able to see take in the lovely scenery of this part of the world.
All in all a top afternoon we'll spent which I would highly recommend.

Very welcoming, very knowledgeable, great atmosphere, and interesting decor... Certainly a talking point for my boys. Even though I'm not an ale drinker, there was a great range of drinks on offer, and boys were delighted to have played, and won on the bandit. We will be back!

Munching on vegan pie and washing it down with vegetarian/vegan beer what is not to love about brass castle. Very relaxed atmosphere with an option to have a peep in the brewery this is the perfect place to hide from the insane traffic of malton.

Lovely place to visit for a drink, beers always great and in top form, brewery fresh as they should be! Staff always helpful and friendly, don't mind if you try a sample or two and don't under-fill glasses which is always welcome. Toilets and other facilities have always been fine when we're here, which is often.

Totally loved it, the interior is rustic not only are you able to taste to wonderful offering...... there's a fab selection of snacks, pastries and coffees to indulge in. Very child friendly a great place to wallow on a Saturday day time before, during or after ambling the fab market town of Malton.
