Lovely Sunday lunch at the spotted cow today ,good food fresh ,hot, and the service was excellent ,would recommend it .
The staff are always very welcoming. Lovely cosy atmosphere and the Sunday roast dinner is the best around.

We discovered this wee gem a couple of weeks ago while visiting Malton and it was the best afternoon we have had in a traditional pub in a long time!! The decor is gorgeous and welcoming..Terry was a terrific host and we met the lovely locals. We came in knowing nobody and left with a warm heart and wanting to return. Don't change anything it's brilliant!!!@
What a lovely pub. Our first time popping in after work, and we have really enjoyed it. Great pricing and great drinks, as well as the friendly locals and the nice atmosphere. The lady behind the bar was very nice as well. Cant wait to come back!
Quaint is how I'd describe it. Nice atmosphere, full of locals and felt we had dropped back 40 years to the way pubs used to be. Don't expect the polish of modern pubs, rather a jumble of furniture and rooms.
Lovely pub for a pint after shopping. Three different rooms so there's always somewhere to sit. The beer is very good and it's always very tidy. It's also dog friendly!
Desperately needed the toilet on a trip from Manchester to Scarborough, and ended up here. We felt obliged to stop and have a drink in return for the use of their facilities.
What a lovely, and quirky little place! Not enough room to swing a cat, but that gives it character. Reasonably priced too!
Ladies, if you are seeking the toilet, they've disguised the door as a bookcase!

We visited with friends and family after a meal in Malton one Sunday evening and it wasn't busy ... they turned the heater on for us in the lower room as there were folks having a great time singing along to a sound system in the main bar.
It's quaint and has lots of atmosphere, with clean toilets and a reasonable variety of drinks on offer.
