Walnut serves authentic Persian food in the Rusholme area in Manchester. I have tried this place a few times and it has never disappointed. The kebab with the pomegranate molasses is fabulous, must try! The interior is very interesting Zoroastrian themed. I will go back!
Walnut is our number one Persian restaurant in Manchester. The food is absolutely amazing, the staffs are kind and attentive and the price is surely reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended!
An enjoyable family meal with freshly prepared food but service needs improvement. Our server was not well informed about the menu neither she was able to give any advise. The manager did check with us once but it was too late by then as we had finished our meal. Huge main course portions so good idea to share.
The food was absolutely amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The service was top-notch, as the staff who attended us was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, it's worth noting that due to its popularity, the wait times can be a bit high, especially during peak hours. Nevertheless, the exceptional taste of the food makes it well worth the wait. If you're a fan of Persian cuisine, Walnut is a must-visit spot in Manchester.
The best Iranian restaurant in Manchester! I take all my friends and family here and it never disappoints. Huge portion sizes, delicious food and fabulous staff. The waitress Mandana is absolutely lovely and makes you feel so welcome! 🥰
Highly recommend!!
Great food lovely ambience and friendly staff. I have been supporting Walnut since it first opened. If you have not been here you are missing out! The lovely blond lady who hugs me when I walk in is an asset to Walnut ❤️.

Every time I come to Manchester from London i always have to make a stop at walnut restaurant. I can say with confidence this is the best tasting and most delicious Persian restaurant I have been to. I can say with confidence this is best Persian restaurant in the uk. Even better than berenjak in London
My boyfriend and I, coming from Germany, were in the city for a short holiday, and the Walnut Restaurant was highly recommended by our local friends. It was our first time trying Persian cuisine, and Walnut did not disappoint. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, ensuring we left with satisfied appetites. What truly won us over were the authentic flavors and the exquisite use of spices that added a delightful kick to every bite.
The service was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The ambiance of the restaurant struck the perfect balance between elegance and coziness, creating an inviting atmosphere. We were so impressed with our first visit that we couldn't resist returning for another meal during our short stay. On both occasions, the dishes were nothing short of outstanding. However, it's the staff who deserve a special mention for making our dining experience so pleasant. They were not only attentive but also happy to engage in friendly conversations, providing us with valuable tips on local attractions.
In a nutshell, Walnut Restaurant left us with nothing to complain about. We look forward to revisiting this delightful establishment during our next trip to Manchester. Thank you for a memorable dining experience!

Super! I didn't expect to have such a great Iranian meal here. Everything was perfect. If you want to taste delicious Iranian food, you must visit this place in Manchester. They have all of the Iranian dishes and side dishes on their menu. They also serve a small bowl of Gheimeh next to each meal, which is very tempting.
So the other day we went to this beautiful halal persian restaurant and absolutely loved it!
We ordered kebabs, lamb neck, and my favourite Abgoosht - which is an iranian slow cooked lamb stew with potatoes and chickpeas. The waiter was courteous, and the ambience was superb. I would definitely visit this place again, and I highly recommend it 👌

Went with some work colleagues at lunchtime, was empty when I arrived, but soon started filling up. I ordered the number 22 (kobeda) and I must say it was one of the best meals I have had, absolutely delicious, perfectly spiced, and nice and hot, and my colleagues also echoed the same sentiments. The one gripe I have is that the salad is mostly mint leaves and other odd stuff, I much prefer cucumber, lettuce etc. The prices were semi-reasonable (£12), and around £2 for a small bottle of water. The restaurant was very nicely done up, clean, and welcoming, and the waitress was also really helpful, and looked after us. Parking is an issue around this area, although there's plenty in the side streets. Definitely a hidden gem, highly recommended, and will be visiting again.
Great interior, service and lovely food! The Persian cuisine is little bit different from whats on offer on the rest of the street. Food has nice sweet and scented flavours.
