Alston Bar & Beef - Manchester - Photo album

Visited as a group of 10. At a higher price point it is a good addition to the dining scene of Corn Exchange. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. All food was great apart from the desserts - where they seem to try too hard to reinvent the wheel and it did not pay off. Decent drinks selection and
Beautiful Steak Restaurant and Excellent Gin Collection. Food cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. Highly recommended, we didn't have the set menu as didn't feel there was much choice a few more options would be useful.
We have been here a few times now in the last month or so and have been impressed each time, hence returning. The beef is star but every other dish we have tried wowed us. So far we have tried the Fillet and Rib-eye, the accompanying sauces are beautiful I would recommend the chimichurri and pepperc
I have never had a steak like it in years. We went to Alston on an £18 meal deal which I presumed was a January, get you in, special. Well it certainly was special. Great service from Matthew and a great selection of Gins. Our hostess was Olivia who was training Jack and both of them looked after us
Had a great sunday evening meal here - staff were friendly and gave great recommendations for food. Decor is modern and great to have so much space in a restaurant, rather than tables mega close together! We opted for the olives and scallops to start - both delicious! Olives were superb! For mains
Located in the triangle of the food, closed to the national football museum and in front of the Manchester cathedral. Very beauty place, good atmosphere, service was unexpected gentle. I've been served very well and so kindly. Quite big choice between wine, cocktails and few beers, not a great choos
The first time we went we age from the lunch menu with the 3 courses for £18 option I really enjoyed my starter, the short rib had a beautiful barbecue taste and the pickeled mustard seeds added a fantastic texture and a beautifuly sharp contrast to the meat. I felt like the crispy shallots didn't
Amazing service, incredible food and drinks. Overall great atmosphere. The staff really knew what they were talking about and were able to offer great suggestions in terms of drinks and which tonic to pair with the gin. 100% will be coming back again
Had the Friday butchers cut menu. All the different cuts of steak were excellent and the accompanying red wine was also very good.
The starters and gin cocktail were absolutely amazing and delicious it instantly set our expectations really high. The Bees Knees gin cocktail I had was super smooth and they also purchase the honey from the near by church and in turn donate some profits back, which I really like this whole idea of
Really good food and interesting gin flavours (the two I tried were lovely). Chateaubriand was so tender it melted in the mouth. Extra mention for the best garlic shrooms I have ever tasted and a surprisingly affordable wine list. Decor a bit industrial for my liking but lovely staff and great food
Not just great for steaks, but the drinks and deserts are in a league of their own as well! However, it was the perfect service and recommendations by our waitress that truly made it.
Went here for a mid week offer, 2 courses and a gin of your choice for £15, I had a chili and Lime gin and tonic. The food was beautiful, the surroundings are also beautiful, great atmosphere, service was really slow, normally doesn't bother me but it was so bad. I'll still go back
Really liked the vibe of this place, it had some cool design choices and really friendly staff. I tried the butcher's cut and the food was stupendous- it was really tender and rich.
Can't believe it's taken me a year to discover this place! Went on a Tuesday and although it was quiet (as you'd expect) there was a really nice vibe to it. Lovely decor, excellent customer service and delicious food. Need to go back to try their impressive gin menu!
Had a pre show meal here, chose as just around the corner from the arena. Was really lovely. Staff friendly and welcoming, good service. Delicious steaks and gorgeous desserts, The poached pear was to die for!
Great beef options, well cooked but somewhat expensive. Quality is good but it doesn’t justify the price - side orders are particularly expensive
An interesting space with a beautiful bar on the floor below. Excellent and friendly staff. Wide range of gins and cocktails.
Great food, dissapointing desserts (all style no substance)
