I visited here with my girlfriend for a last minute celebratory meal. We weren't disappointed. We had a little wait to be seated, but considering we hadn't booked this was more than acceptable. The food, drink and service were perfect. My girlfriend has food intolerances and it was the first thing we were asked about once seated. A special menu detailing what was in each meal was brought to us. This was also supplied without asking for the dessert menu. An all round great experience and we'll be back again.

Great location, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a modern, relaxing yet classy vibe. I had been before around 4 years ago and I enjoyed it back then. Food is not cheap but it’s of high quality so it’s worth every penny. We had a 1.2kg tomahawk asked for medium rare, as you can see by the picture below it was cooked to perfection! It melted in the mouth and was seasoned perfectly, very impressed. Even better we saw the waiter take it from the meat fridge and pass it to the chef so we saw it from start to finish which made you see the quality. Staff were nice but nothing special, not too engaging which was a shame I think it would have been a better experience had we got a waiter with character as it adds to the evening. We were lucky enough to also have a 40% members discount so the whole bill came to £70 which at that price for the quality is an absolute steal! A bargain! Overall impressive food and an enjoyable evening, if it had a bit more personality it would have gotten 5.

Our evening in Manchester started here, the perfect location so close to all the bars that we where to visit that evening.
The food was fantastic, both me and the wife with every mouthful where overwhelmed, would thoroughly enjoy coming back and without hesitation reckoned to all.

Have been visiting this restaurant on New Years Eve without a reservation as I wanted to have a good steak and it was top rated. I have tried their Blackhouse ribeye steak a try: very good and exactly at the requested cooking stage ( medium rare ). The cheesecake as desert was very tempting so I had to give it a try as well - it was very delicious. Staff has been very attentive and friendly.
One star deduction as I consider 2.95 GBP additionally for a sauce too much - and the desert should rather be priced at 5-6 GBP. The other prices were just fine.

The food was incredible! And the drink in the picture heavenly, a Smokey Old Fashioned.
The wait staff are very welcoming, the atmosphere is congenial and not noisy. The décor feels very upmarket, and the price/food ratio is spot-on!

Exquisite treatment. Smoked salmon was perfect seasoned, and the steak was one of my favourites. If you like good meat is a must to. Highly recommended!

The food here is so good as always! I love the hand cut chips and steaks here, especially the tomahawk steak. The prices are so reasonable. There's always a great choice of cocktails and wine.

Lovely restaurant with great vibes. The food is excellent and sincerely served. The service is quick and with a smile. Tried their Sunday specials, pleasantly surprised by the taste and flavor. Good for families too.

Food quality was lovely, clearly ordering big gives your big. Drink menu was also good on selection. Staff were friendly and give excellent service.
Definitely recommend coming here with good friends to relax and have a great dining experience with. (Also worth mentioning that you can sign up online for 50% off food bill!)

What a lovely evening, extremely busy restaurant due to football being on in the City, night before mother's day and a large party group who we were told turned up 45minutes late.
The management & staff dealt with the situation perfectly under extreme pressure they made us feel really welcome and the food is beautiful.
I felt a little over dressed in a suit but I would definitely return a little more relaxed in future.
One of the nicest meals I've experienced definitely in my top 10 places to eat in Manchester.

Fantastic food!! Me and my partner both had the Ribeye and I used to manage a miller and Carter stake house and that was the best ribeye I have ever eaten........ The only downside to the meal was our waiter was extremely casual to the point I thought he was going to join us at the table and the music was so loud we was shouting at each other apart from that I would deffo recommend a visit.

If you want a steak, they do it well. The food and service were both good, couldn't fault anything. Slightly on the higher side, as it was over £110 without any starters really. So price wise it was on the higher side but the overall experience matches the food quality.

A classy but down to earth atmosphere with food to die for. I can only comment on the steak, but we had three different cuts and a lobster between us and couldn't fault it. Drinks reasonably priced and for the quality z so was the food. Be prepared to spend around £50 pp. Staff were very friendly apart from the Maitre D. Seemed very stern and the staff were notably exhausted with them. A slight tarnish on a fabulous meal.

One of my favourite Manchester restaurants. The Australian steak is out of this world, especially paired with the skewer of king prawns. Service is always top notch and the staff are very knowledgeable of the menu which is always welcome when trying new dishes. Great Champagne selection too.

Came to the Grill for a family meal, we all had great steaks, but the service was not up to scratch. The waiter spilled a whole bottle of water on our table, one cocktail we ordered ended up not being available and the replacement was not good, the steaks we ordered and the sizes we requested apparently were not available (even though there is no mention in the menu), so we had to order replacements and we waited forever for the food. After all that we weren´t even offered a free coffee. Hopefully this was just bad luck / timing, since the food was good.

I had the sticky beef salad (£10.50), this was very tasty and filling and very different from your ordinary healthy salad as the sweet and stickyness of the sauce and fried vermicelli made it extra tasty. The beef was also very soft and tender and the sauce complimented it well.

I prefer the old tuna dish on the previous menu, just simple and plain old seared tuna on a bed of pickled vegetables. It was interesting as the pickled vegetables all had different textures, providing some crunch in contract to the soft tuna. The champ potatoes were just lovely and buttery. My friend ordered the 12oz rib eye steak served with a baked potato and peppercorn sauce. It was a shame the steak tasted rather charred; otherwise it looked like a fine steak.<br/><br/>

Clearly well prepped in delivering roasts en masse we were served our food in no time at all. The beef was in the pink of health and as close to perfection as you could wish for; the yorkies were crisp and better than anything my Aunt Bessie has ever made me, God bless her (she’s not dead, she’s 130 and still going strong); the roast potatoes were crunchy yet fluffy and the carrots and cabbage were that good I turned vegetarian for a minute and had a sudden urge to grow my hair long and tie myself to a tree. Then I realised there was still some beef left.

Amazing service. Dined here last weekend, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Staff are fantastic, efficient & friendly and the food is simple but of extremely high quality and you can see this in the flavours. Manager even came over to say hello! A definite must :-)

Meal after the Theatre. My wife and I, and a few of our friends came here at the last minute after going to the theatre. We we reliefed to get a table as the place was quite busy at the time. <br/><br/>We decided on a few bottles of wine which came as chilled as you like which was very refreshing. Menus and specials were excellently explained to us and a few recommendations of what to have.<br/><br/>We waited about 15 minutes for the starters to come, which unexpectedly came all together. Round 1 done, onto the mains!! <br/><br/>The mains took about 30 minutes which considering we had 2 chataubriens was quite reasonable. The drinks kept flowing and the drinks went down swimmingly so overall food and drinks filled a small hole. <br/><br/>The 1, and only unfortunate complaint was the temperature of the restaurant. A little to cold for my liking and I know a few of my friends felt the same aswell. We didn't complain at the time as its only something petty.<br/><br/>Aside from that, fantastic evening all round!
