We can't stop coming to Banyan! Great warm and comforting vibes, a rotation of regulars and fresh yummy food.
Never too loud, never too quiet. We always come here to have a great relaxing start to our mornings.
If you're into sweet treats the French Toast is especially good and the Bayan Croissant is our go too with their amazingly delicious apple jam.
This place has made my stay in Manchester leagues better. Thanks to everyone working at Banyan, I love what this place brings to our day.

Breakfast was very good here and fresh.
Pancakes were thick, couldn't finish it but it was amazing.
Between two people, myself getting pancakes and another getting poached egg on toast with avacode with us both getting a coffee it came to around £32 which is a good price for what you're getting.

Welcoming staff, quick service for drinks and food (ordered and was munching my breakfast in less than 15mins). Well-seasoned and fresh food, good portions. Will certainly be back again!

I came here twice, both for brunch. Perfect! The food was amazing, so tasty. The service is good too. Nice atmosphere, definitely you should try. Trey do also promotion during the week, like happy hour.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Banyan Tree in Castlefield, and I must say it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This is a hidden gem ! it is an independent family run bar hiding behind the converted church .
The staff at Banyan Tree were the true stars of the show. From the moment I walked in, their warmth and friendliness made me feel right at home, real northern hospitality. Their attentiveness and dedication to providing great service were truly commendable. It's clear that the team at Banyan Tree takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest and makes them feel at home.
The restaurant has undergone noticeable improvements over the years, thanks to thoughtful updates to the interior some of which has been hand built by the owners. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting and relaxing . The design reflects a commitment to creating a comfortable space for locals to enjoy their experience.
The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, catering to a range of tastes. I had the fillet steak which I asked to switch out the truffle mash with dauphinoise potatoes ( i cant stand the flavor of truffle) which they happily did. if your in the mood for some small dishes to share they have options for that too
I wholeheartedly recommend Banyan Tree to anyone seeking a relaxed space with northern hospitality and tasty food . p.s Also pet friendly inside and have a little menu for them

First ever pet friendly place we tried and I wasn’t disappointed! The staff were super friendly and asked if it was okay to fuss over out puppy (which was a bonus).
They offered a dogs menu which I thought was pretty cute. The food was generously portioned and tasted delicious and I’m sure my puppy enjoyed his too.
Will definitely come back again :)

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here last week. 2 Sunday roasts and 1 banyan burger meals. Beautiful meat, perfect, fresh vegetables... 4! Massive Yorkshire pudding 👌 😋
So pleased with the quality.
Very pleasant and friendly staff.
Nice, modern surroundings.
Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone 👌

My comfort place! Just a few mins walk and 8 love coming in here on a weekend morning for a lovely breakfast and a cup of coffee 😋 Planning to join to pub quiz night one day. Breakfast is delicious. I would strongly suggest to try special fries!

Excellent service and food on offer. Attentive and helpful staff made the meal all the better. The chicken curry was lovely and had a great depth of flavour. I did find the veggie version a little bland so perhaps that's something to work on going forward.
All in all, a lovely break and exceptional service.

Came for the brunch, stayed for the menu and friendly vibes.
Their french toasts and slow cooked ribs leave you craving for more, but everything we tried was delicious. Attentive and energetic staff make the place feel like a resort with their hard work and great personality.
The Banyan Tree offers some creative fusion dishes like tofu rice vermicelli too.
Keep up the good work - you guys will become the talk of the town. 👍

I've been here a couple of times now. The food's delicious, the coffee's lovely & the staff are cheerful & friendly. Today, I went for a vegan breakfast with a fried egg added & a mocha, which cost me £14.20 - a price that I believe to be reasonable.

Me and husband visited this place for breakfast, for our anniversary weekend. It was so good we had to come back the next day! The sticky BBQ beans were absolutely amazing and so was the French toast! We will be back the next time we visit for sure!

Comfy and cozy, with some table outside it’s a good place to eat and relax with friends and family. I had a chicken hamburger with coleslaw and some potato and my partner only some melted cheddar chips that were a lot, so super suggested. No too many beers but the few are nice and enjoyable. A place to avoid the noisy of the city centre!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
I had the breakfast croissant. About an inch of the sausage was overcooked, and the bacon looked like it had been re-heated from the day before. And I know what freshly cooked bacon looks like. It was after 10.30 and it arrived about a minute after I ordered.
In the past, I have enjoyed their food. I hope this is just a one-off and that they have not gone the way of many a restaurant after Covid that have lowered their quality to save money, leading to poor quality food.

One of the best pancakes that I've ever had! I ordered berries and cream pancake, was really tempted by the chocolate one as well, so really happy when it show up with chocolate in the plate as well.
The staffs who served us were really really kind and welcoming. Definitely made the experience better than it can be.
Photos are the berries and cream pancake and the skinny fries that I ordered.

A peaceful relaxed place to work

Relaxed casual atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Had a really tasty superfood salad on my last visit and a nice coffee. I always enjoy visiting this place and would definitely spend more time here if I lived closer.

We had a birthday party at the Banyan Tree and couldn’t have asked for a better place. From our initial enquires, Gemma was so friendly and helpful in making sure the night went perfectly. She and the rest of the team couldn’t have done more for us and we are hugely grateful. It is a great venue for 40-60 people with enough space for a dancefloor and quiet seating areas. The food was brilliant and they easily adapted the menu to suit a few dietary requests. Amazing value compared to anywhere else we looked at in Manchester – would highly recommend to everyone.

Came here a few weeks ago for some food and the pub quiz on a Monday and i have to say i couldn't fault the place one bit.

Staff were so friendly, creating a really relaxed and chilled atmosphere.

The food was phenomenal, portions sizes large and fairly priced. We recommend the curry, dog of the day and the pie!

The pub quiz was great, first one we've found that has questions suited more to younger people. The power went out during the quiz however was handled perfectly with humour and resourcefulness

5/5 Thanks again.

The Banyan Tree is my local neighbourhood bar. It's usually always quite busy, and on weeknights too. The curry and quiz deal on a Monday draws a lot of people although I'm yet to try it. It's a long, narrow bar with a few sofas and lots of window seating. It's an ideal place when the weather is good as the outdoor tables get a lot of sun. I chose the Cajun-Spiced Chicken Burger in Japanese Breadcrumbs . It came with lettuce, tomato and a lemon and lime mayo inside a ciabatta bun, along with seasoned shoestring fries. The fries were a little too salty but the spicy tomato dip was very nice to counter it, Large enough that it required cutting in half, the chicken burger is thick, crunchy, fresh and juicy.... and way better than KFC. The previous week I tried the Famous Banyan Lamb Burger with mint raita and onion bhaji in a toasted chilli focaccia. This was ok but would have been better in a different bun. It's too big and didn't hold together very well. The focaccia fell apart. The st

...we were pleased to have gone and seen what The Banyan Tree was all about and had been rather impressed with the food, bar and service...

We finally made it to our destination without becoming road kill and found the restaurant right away. What a gorgeous little space it is; decked out in vibrant turquoises, deep maroons with throne like chairs. It had a nice laid back atmosphere.
