We’ve been waiting for a table for about 30mins despite having (a rather late) reservation. It’s a very popular place and I guess people overstayed their booking on a Friday evening.
Staff were really friendly though and did their best to keep us updated.
Everything was made good after we sat down.

Epic meal in a beautiful restaurant. The service was warm, friendly and informative. They supported our decisions to repeat dishes without making us feel like greedy pigs. Excellent sour cherry negroni and a delicious Gewürztraminer. Get everything. Sit for hours.

Wow. The Sparrows always gets great reviews and for such good reasons. Our first visit with two friends from out of town - on a beautiful, Costa del Manchester day. We walked out of the Northern Quarter and walked a bit further, and a bit further. And eventually found a doorway under a railway arch.
The best restaurant in Manchester and it isn’t even close. The service, the wine, the vibe - all unmatched. The food is incredible and the pace of the whole experience is perfect. Great value for money, too.

One of my top meals out of all time. All dishes were incredible - can't really say any more! Great vegetarian and vegan options. Drinks were excellent. If you're a martini fan, treat yourself to the High Glen martini! Can't wait to go back to try the selection of sake with the food next time.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, everything seemed to be designed and curated by people who cared deeply about the food, the location, the atmosphere.
The drinks menu is as tailor made for the restaurant as the food is and just like the service, it was non stop excellence all night.
