I have visited here on a few occasions and I have never been disappointed. The food is great, staff always friendly and atmosphere is nice and chilled. My only criticism would be that the garlic bread is very dry and gaggy.

Food: Fantastic food! A real contrast to all ‘British’ food places.
Service: We had a wounderful waiter how was very pleasant and made good conversation. Quick drinks and appetizers.
Atmosphere: Cozy. A gem with a large basement and plenty of seats.

The best Greek meal we’ve had outside of Greek.
We couldn’t stop eating and mopped up every last bit.
Great staff and service.
Can’t wait to go back.
We had a selection of mezze dishes and each one was delicious. Especially the feta dip and calamari.
The selection of Greek desserts and Greek coffee was the perfect combination me to the meal.
Stuffed and very happy!

My husband was in the mood for Mediterranean food and we found Dimitri’s on Google Maps, which had an above average rating. We made a reservation but arrived early and they sat us immediately. The restaurant is cozy and the staff is very nice. The menus is tapas, so best for sharing. We ordered the veggie platter for 2, which was enough to feed 4 people. The Greek salad was excellent—very fresh and perfect proportions of tomato, pepper, onions and feta. The feta tasted amazing and the pita bread fresh. The olives were also good. The hummus was ok, but a little grainy. We also had beans in a sauce, falafels, couscous with veggies, fried cheese and potatoes. We had a nice white wine with the meal and finished the meal with Baklava and lemoncello. It’s not the best meal I’ve had in Manchester, but it was good.

We had really nice food and a lovely service from a few of the staff. The only minor issue was the alarm going off with no explanation. We highly recommend this restaurant for a good quality Greek meal and we'll surely be back.

Love the food here! Didn’t disappoint us at all, the sharing plater was really good especially the pork/ribs, meatballs was okay so would recommend order something else to try.

Nipped in for lunch without a booking. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Huge selection of food which came out quickly, our favourite was the lamb chops and blue cheese mushrooms! Would reccomend for a tasty tapas in Manchester

Best Greek food I have ever had!!! Me and my partner were visiting from Scotland and this just so happened to be close to our hotel. The staff were really nice, the restaurant had a really authentic cosy vibe and the food was outstanding. I typically hate lamb but my partner ordered it and I ended up being converted. Wish we had room for desserts but everything was amazing and the cocktails were soo reasonably priced! The mojito was very fresh and I could tell they hadn’t just used a mix. Will be back when we visit again :)

Eaten at Dimitris numerous times over the years, always forget to leave a review! I love it here, the staff are so friendly and never bother you! Very chilled, I love the venue itself! Food selection is big, very fairly priced! Always delicious (which is the most important thing)! Me and my friend shared a lovely bottle of Rioja! If you’re looking for an authentic tapas, where you aren’t rushed to eat with good prices then Dimitri’s is for you!

The food here is delicious, some of us had the tapas dishes and some of us had a main dish, either way you’re gonna be full and satisfied!

Great atmosphere had office dinner. Sone dishes were just ok like calamari, was bit disappointing. But other than that rest food was great.

A really good authentic Greek menu.
The food and service was a 5/5 star.
We were a party of four and were seated in the lovely decorated outside courtyard area.
I chose the mixed grill, £28.50....and it was brilliant.
Definitely recommend, but I will need to visit again to try the menu.

Last minute table on Saturday evening, but they managed to squeeze us in. All the foods we ordered were delicious. The service was really fast and all the staff were very friendly. We had chips, patatas bravas witn chorizo, beef stew, chilli King prawns, hummus & pitta and grilled halloumi. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Birthday meal for me and my wife. Fabulous food and service. Excellent sangria too. Highly recommended.

Big fan of Greek food but hadn't tried here before. Pre-booked a table, which even for a Tuesday night was a good idea. Got very busy, must be a popular place. Didn't have a traditional Greek vibe inside, but was a nice bustling feel. Food was nice and did have quite a traditional taste to it. Service was ok, despite being busy, the food didn't take long to arrive

I was walking passed when we went in on a whim. Staff were friendly and I happen to mention it was my 3 year old birthday and we'd just been to the museum of science nearby.
After a lovely lunch the waitress asked if r would mind them bringing us a birthday brownie and ice cream. They didn't need to do it but were all lovely and enjoyed the day.
The restaurant decor is lovely

What a Gem 💎 ✨️ 😍
In town for meeting... looking for lighter meals other than the traditional English food. The lamb kabobs were very flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked.
The staff was very friendly and helpful... I might have to another visit before I leave Manchester.

Great Greek restaurant in Manchester. It's very central. It's only a few minutes walking distance from Manchester Piccadilly gardens. The food was great and the service was excellent. The prices were great for what they offer. My only complaint is I wish they had more variety of the Greek menu. But nothing is perfect. The food is delicious either way.

This place used to be my favourite restaurant. Its gone down hill over last year. Recently visited for my birthday. The portion sizes have shrunk and prices have gone up. Staff are rude and arrogant! Disappointed is an under statement!

Had the best meal ever. First time in Manchester and highly recommend visiting as the food is brillant. But you must book as its that busy. Will be back!!
Keely Thera
Poor table service. Long wait for drinks and food, when the food finally arrived it was cold! Very rude manager that decided to raise he's voice to me when I raised the issue. Emailed to complain and might as well have not bothered. Would not recommend this place at all!
Darren Whitton
Excellent all round. Great food, great dining area, will definitely be back. Had eight plates of tapas (between four!!) every plate of food was delicious. Service was first class.
Martin McLaughlin
Food was decent (not exceptional but no real complaints ), service was good.
However watch out for the sting at the end of the meal when they ask if you would like a lemon cello , mistakenly we assumed complimentary.....they then charged £3.45 each! Not value for money in my opinion.

We arrived late after the theatre and the very helpful waiter said he would keep the kitchen open so we could have food- it was wonderful food and a lovely relaxing environment- loved it !

Fabulous food best houmous and pittas I've had. Service efficient and friendly. Well worth a visit if you've never tried it

Haven’t been her for lots of years had memories of a great restuarant . Visited this weekend and was disappointed with portion sizes and the prresentation tapas and attention to detail.

Me and the bread knife have been frequenting this establishment on and off for 10 years. It's always a tasty meal and the little lady loves the sangria.

Great food, great staff, and a lovely place to spend a few quality hours with your loved ones!

Excellent food, amazing cocktails in lovely surroundings. The service was great and the staff friendly and informative. I want to go back today!

An excellent meal, delicious food that was quickly produced and reasonable priced. The servers were attentive and friendly.

Great service, prompt with both drinks and food order. Everything we ordered was delicious, they even parcelled up the food we couldn't finish.
This was one of many visits to Dimitris, definitely a family favourite. Can't wait for the next time

Avoid the place like the plague!! Then leaving us to enjoy a fantastic night out with great service late bar and live bands 😊

Absolutely loved this place, great atmosphere and it was right across from the Hilton hotel where we stayed.
Have to say the food was delicious and I haven't enjoyed a meal like it for quite some time.
Thank you and... I'll be back

Very friendly service, very relaxing, not pushing to get you out for the next customer even when exceptionally busy. The food was delicious. I would recommend you book in advance. We didn't book yet the manager fit us in 30 mins. There is a bar where you can wait. I highly recommend anyone to try it. Enjoy!!!

Very good food and atmosphere

We were staying at the Hilton across the road so popped in here for some food. The food and atmosphere was great - we will revisit this place.

We called in for lunch on the off chance it having been a long time since I’d last called in there to discover the place was a pleasant as I remember.

I worked in Greece a gazillion years ago and I love Greek food. Dimitri’s offers a real flavour of the Aegean with a good menu offering a range of foods that include British regulars if you’re with mates who don’t know how to eat tzatziki.

It’s not overpriced and has a great feel all-round.

Go for the tuna and chilli prawns ... amazing. Absolutely fabulous, tasty and the best meal I had in months... kudos for Portuguese waiters (I really missed speaking Portuguese with other people instead of my hubby)
I really recommend Dimitri’s .Adolfo Martins

Nice lively place with good options for all palate. Enjoyed our group outing on a large table with good cocktails and food. Pita hummus, falafels, fish grilled, salads, pasta and more. Loved the roasted potatoes .

Not the best food but good service and ambience. The waiter was very attentive and the two for one cocktails were generously poured. A good go-to if you're in the southern part of town.

Such a lovely atmosphere and felt like i wasn't even in Manchester.

Our server was lovely and the food was very nice too

Hummus like over never tasted before

Very average across all aspects. Served by 4 different people, only one of which was pleasant. Food wasn't hot and not of good quality. Very overpriced for what you get.

Terrible.. We too had the meat meze as someone mentioned here and I couldn't agree more with his review. The food tasted like it was a cheap microwave meal. And for what it was it was outrageously expensive, if your on a diet though it may be a good place to go since the food is so bad you probably won't eat much. The hummus was nice though and the staff were pretty nice also. But overall the experience was terrible.

What a dim do and view. I'm very disappointed to read such negative chat about Dimitris. Why and how has this place come to fare so badly? It was somewhere I regularly used as a rendezvous, with food-discerning friends, for years from the mid 80s until the late 90s.

I've only eaten there a couple of times in recent years, sharing the vegetarian meze, which has always been good. Maybe, like it's near neighbour El Rinkon, Dimitris believes that a guaranteed influx of less than discerning customers at weekends will sustain them.

I shall certainly think twice about birthday celebrations there in the future, which I thoroughly enjoyed in the past.

This restaurant gets by on it's Deansgate location and it's proximity to the student world. Apparently popular with the young crowds, who have possibly been brought up on nuggets and will enthuse over anything heated in a pan for them, for the real food lover, this was the most appalling food I have tasted in a long time. We asked for meat meze, the feta was a full block of cheese sat atop a lovelessly prepared salad with pale insults tomatoes. Fish bites were bland - meatballs tasted of ketchup, the lamb was not lamb it was hard chewy and dry, as was the beef. The chicken tasted like the sauce was a can of campbells condensed. Here's the best. We complained. The managers attitude was terrible. When we said the fish bites were tasteless he laughed. He said what do you expect? They are fish bites! He tried to infer that it was a matter of personal preference and clearly we just didn't like their food. I said I loved Greek food, he then stood in front of his Greek flag and tried to convince me it wasn't really a Greek restaurant. I think at this point he was getting squirmy, he said we'd done a good Job of eating it. We'd eaten a piece of meat from each bowl. He refunded one meze and gave us free drinks. It was still £30 too much. It will continue to be popular with people who live off microwave cuisine, but for those of us who can boil an egg or flip a pancake, I'd head back to the stove.

Everyone likes Dimmis. Very popular Manchester dining place, several good pubs nearby ,good food great atmosphere, great for a young couple on first date. But is it me or do you find it a tad expensive?
Overall a deffo.

Very good food . Lively atmosphere. Bit slow getting draught beer. Stefado excellent.

Sorry just not impressed at all , a very poor quality of food for a high price . Food was either grease laden or just bland . The wine was actually warmer than the food . The restaurant is very dated and now tacky . Sorry I won't be re visiting nor will I recommend
Rachael
Good atmosphere both in the bar and restaurant. Sitting outside on a summers evening you could almost(especially after one or two of their sangrias!)be in a taverna on the med. The tapas are particularly recommended. Book in advance though as deservedly very popular at weekends and gets totally booked up.

Delicious Mediterranean food. Really cosy little restaurant with beautiful covered outside area. Secret gem on a street full of chain restaurants. Get the lamb!

I’m greedy and it’s an excuse to overeat. There are starving children in Africa and so it would be criminal to leave food (That’s what my Grandma told me, and it would be terrible to disrespect the wishes of the dead). So, it’s 7.30pm on a Saturday and we’re waiting in the bar for our friends. We were quite surprised when they wouldn’t allow us to open up a tab. Then a bit more flummoxed when they wouldn’t accept card payments of less than £10. ‘But we do cash back’. How nice of them. Our

The lamb was tender and the side dish had a pleasant, fresh taste of green beans and parsley; it was a decent enough stew, but nothing special.
