The Refuge - Manchester - Photo album

Really beautiful building. The layout and set up is absolutely spot on. Simple but great menu. There were two of us and I would say that 5 to 6 tapas style pieces is enough. That includes selecting from the starters. Definable would have the crispy mushrooms again. Everyone serving was excellent and
The venue is amazing, the perfect place for a date, after work drinks, pre theatre food. The service is slow, although staff are very friendly and apologetic. No organisation to table numbers, so ordering food at the bar is chaotic. I had the steak and ale pie which was really rich and tasty, reason
This place has never disappointed me or any of my guests. Every time I am in Manchester I have to visit The Refuge for a drink or some food. The service is phenomenal and the food is on point. I would definitely recommend this place. Absolutely love the atmosphere, this place is truly a gem in Manch
Stopped in for dessert and a night cap. The espresso martini was delicious! The barbecued banana was so unique and tasty, I was very impressed! Very happy we decided to stop and check this place out. The garden we were sat in also really set the mood. Beautiful!
Location is fancy and right in the centre of Manchester. The Sunday roast was disappointed though. Meat lacked in flavour and was cold, the potatoes tasted old. The Yorkshire pudding and the gravy though were spot on. I recommend getting the sticky toffee pudding as it is delicious 🤤
A big round of applause to The Refuge restaurant! Love the time there, was here for lunch a week ago. I am serving justice to leave a great review for the great hospitality and everything else there. The place is gorgeous, the food is fabulous, we ordered quite a lot of mains, side dishes and desser
We absolutely love them sharing roast. This was our second visit here for food although we have been many times for drinks. The food is absolutely amazing. Cooked p perfectly, good portion sizes, tasty food, and withYorkshires the size of my head, what's not to like 😋 the bar service is the only
Obviously this is an awesome venue, but we haven’t recently been to the restaurant in years. We came twice this week for breakfast (Kimpton Hotel) and I have to say it can’t be faulted. Very attentive service, great coffee and lots of clearly marked vegan options. Best vegan breakfast in Manchester
Such a lovely venue and dog friendly, my shih tzu was allowed inside the restaurant area and the staff were lovely. Great food and drinks too, definitely will go back again! Great decor too!
Had Sunday dinner here with my boy, staff were amazing the food was delish. I had the roast beef and enormous Yorkshire’s and of course had to have a jug of extra gravy , I know … but I like what I like 🤣 Followed up by couple of cocktails in the Winter Gardens which was relaxing and peaceful Highl
This is one of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve ever had. All-in-all a fantastic experience. We booked for Sunday lunch at 1pm. The service from Jarod was very friendly and attentive. We were never left wanting. If you order a roast, it might be best to request a steak knife, just to make slicing the c
Amazing place, bar area great to relax have a chat with your drink. Been to the restaurant for the first time last week for a Sunday roast. Great environment with good service and tasty food.would definitely recommend it.
I was dining alone before a show for work and Matthew made me feel incredibly at ease and welcome. I had some questions about the menu items and Matthew took no trouble to advise. Really friendly, relaxed serving in a beautiful location. Will return if I'm ever back in Manchester!
Really nice place to eat, this was a business meal with a colleague. Waiting staff where amazing and the building was fantastic with a great atmosphere. Although the main has some crazy options for my pallet (cactus tacos or octopus tentacles) I would have like to see a couple more meat options for
Wow! The decor inside and the ambiance is beautiful. The high cielings, refined look and the pop of greenery from the plants makes this place stunning. The food is extremely fun but also some of the tastiest dishes I’ve tried. I recommend the babaganoush and the jackfruit shawarma is also delicio
Had a really lovely light lunch here. This place is really nice, massive vaulted ceilings and minimalist decor. We had a couple cokes, a steak, padron peppers and a smash burger. The padron peppers were in a sweet sauce with nuts and were delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and in a reall
Called in pre show & was very impressed with the beer choice. It's mainly craft & keg but not just the beers it's so well stocked & sits in amazing surroundings frankly quite stunning! Clearly not the only people to be using the bar as very busy but if you are in Manchester & want a drink in quite a
