Had an absolutely delightful lunchtime, dining experience here. Homemade steak pie, really delicious, came with a wonderfully rich sauce. Thick cut chips & perfectly cooked vegetables. Excellent, very friendly service , reasonably priced. Should also mention, first time visit & it's an absolutely st
Great pub, love dog friendly. Food OK albeit small portions but I like food. The waitress didn't know the difference in her food which was awkward and showed either she is new or incompetent or both.
Great Sunday lunch served quickly, and my son enjoyed the pesto linguini. Could have done with the air con on a hot day (to be fair, I didn’t ask) and my poor back is not a fan of an eclectic mix of old chairs. Editing that as someone has said before, eton mess (though ours was called eton mess sund
Massive pub, indoor and outdoor space, good drinks and cocktail selection and nice decor. We came on the Kings coronation and it was rammed. The staff did really well getting through all the punters. Good atmosphere and a great location. Dog friendly.
Great pub with amazing food and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. It was really busy when I went but got easily served at the bar and had plenty of room to move around. Great outdoor garden space and pizza which is freshly made.
For the best ‘bread and butter pudding’ in Manchester, matched with great coffee, make your next date truly memorable… ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lovely, very large pub! Still manages to feel cosy with leather sofas and a real fireplace. Good pub food. Always come here for lunch when visiting the Christie hospital.
Welcoming. Excellent service. Lovely food. Very good value for money. Nice ambiance. All tables occupied, bar area full but everything well organised, i.e. waiting time as you would expect (totally acceptable). Reserving a table a must otherwise you probably will be disappointed. All in all, a very
My partner and I visited on Friday 10 March, approx 3pm. We hadn’t been for years and there had been lots of new seating areas introduced, tv’s and a huge pizza oven. We sat in the main bar area, which is was lovely, really relaxing. We ordered a cheese plate and an Elton Mess. The cheese plate was
New favourite place in the Didsbury/Wythenshawe area. Big fan of Burton Road when we visit and first visit to the Met was a memorable one. Great selection of beers, food was exactly what you expect. Friendly staff and a really nice clientele (Saturday early afternoon).
Lovely place and atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and friendly bar staff. Food was pretty good but was a bit lacking in parts. Would definitely go back, even just for some nice drinks
Me and the wife went for a drink this afternoon at the Metropolitan, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, great atmosphere and service. The beer garden was vibrant and the sun was shining. Will definitely call again
Almost forgot why I love this place. Didn't have a booking and they managed to fit us into the restaurant, even though it was very busy everywhere in the pub - rugby was on! Food was on point as always and the drinks were made with care. Nice to see a change in the menu with the classics still avai
Great Sunday afternoon visit. Buzzing atmosphere and good service. Would highly recommend. Lots of parking but obviously it does fill up fast when busy.
Group of us volunteering for a youth sports tournament nearby stopped in for some food and a pint after finishing up for the day. Ordered food, which was excellent, had the lamb myself, would recommend, and drinks. Lovely atmosphere, a busy place, just needs more staff behind the bar, very slow serv
