Food is authentic & great value! The staff are friendly & approachable! We have gone here to celebrate our wedding anniversary 2 years now and we will definitely be going again!
Really enjoyed my first experience at Koreana and can't wait to go back. The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Superb.
Best Korean food in the whole UK! servers are friendly and helpful!
Fantastic food. Great place and staff. Went with family
Had a fab night here...great staff, food and atmosphere! Thank you 😊
One of my favourite restaurants ever. The food and service is always great. The lunch menu is excellent value.
Tried the kimchee pancake today - very tasty.
Fantastic find from trip advisor. Great food and prompt service!

Mealk for 2
great food, arrived very quickly, and reasonable price, good atmosphere, great all round experience, good choice for vegetarian
My saviour when I was craving for Korean food in UK! Came here several times and they never dissapointed me. The restaurant is relatively small tho, but they serve quite authentic Korean food compared to other Korean restaurant in town. My favorites are definitely the BBQ and kimchi jeon/pancake. They also served the lettuce wrap along with the bbq. If I compared the food to the ones in Korean or Asian countries, this one would definitely be an okay one. But, because it’s in the UK... I’d say that it’s definitely worth it :)
If you want to try korean kitchen, eat traditional foods here. But the staff are little rude. If you are 4 people, then all of you eat. Its not a right approach. But the meals are really delicious!
Great meal. Went on Saturday night with family and had the Korean style special menu. Marinated flat beef rib, kimchee chi-gae hotspot, king prawn in batter, pork belly and chicken GUI. All excellent especially the so galbee (flat beef rib) which everyone wanted another portion.
Atmosphere relaxed and the staff were really helpful in explaining the dishes.
Everyone wants to go again. Cost £15 per head plus drinks was excellent value
One of Manchester's Hidden Gems. My friends and I went to this restaurant by accident as we were intending to go to This 'n' That just round the corner but it was closed. In the end, however, we were glad we went because it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is family-run, the staff are very friendly and the decor is full of character and charm. Completely recommended, more people need to discover this place!
Amazing food one of manchester's best hidden secrets, every course tried out of this world, beef tartar -out of this world,go don't let exterior put u off!
I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and have yet to be disapointed. The food is superb, and the atmosphere quiet and intimate.
Average £20 pp.
Worth a try? -YES
Will I come back ? -NO
I tried Korean BBQ set but it isn’t a very authentic Korean BBQ combo. They don’t give you garlic or chilli, only 4 leaves of lettuce 🥬 … Also the rice doesn’t suit my taste. I prefer sticky soft rice but their rice isn’t this type.
Important to note: When choosing your drink, don’t go with their coke! It is very light taste… not sure if they add water in it or the coke has been their for too long and become not fizzy anymore😓😓
I ordered the lunch deal with beef bimbimbap and meat dumplings. It was a very filling lunch, the beef was nicely marinated and mixed in well with all the vegetable, you can add your preferred amount of sauce too. It also had some pickles in the bimbimbap, which is very different but very refreshing. It would have been nice to have more of the spinach and less of the lettuce.
It's hard to stay warm in there as customers bring the cold wind in when they come in and out through the front door.
The beef bibimbap isn't tasty even with the chilli sauce, but the pancake is very nice!
Found this lil gem about 7 months ago and we go almost every month if we can help it (usually for lunch as their dinner period is always very busy) Food is just super I’m always happy with the quality and flavour of the food.
I love that the servers aren’t hovering over you they leave you to enjoy why you came for (specifically the Mandoo Guk & chicken wings 👌🏻)
You will find many people will complain about the servers but if you pay attention they do both front of house and back so if you go in with this info it may help with your decision to dine so people don’t cry about it later.
Can’t wait to come back
Most authentic Korean food I have had in Manchester, shame the service didn't match, although they were helpful in moving reservation.
Came back to this one. The service improved vastly, so more than happy to give 1 star back as food still excellent too
Absolute gem of a place. Tucked away in Manchester, but worth a visit! The restaurant was slightly dated but that added to the charm! The staff were all attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be going again.
You have to make a reservation to get a table. It's a nice and friendly place, tired to use chopsticks but couldn't luckily they have forks. The food is great, and the drinks are mind-blowing. The service is good but hard to get their attention, but their nice n understanding. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
This is a small, independent restaurant. The clientele are mostly Asia, which is a good sign for an Asia restaurant! I found the service was great and the food was excellent. The food had a decent portion and they didn't skimp on the meat either. As the queue from about 6pm (Saturday evening) was always pretty long it is best to book. Having visited the a few of the numerous Korean restaurants in New Malden (South London), or Little Korea as some call it, I really think Manchester has its own little gem in this restaurant. I would like to thank the Korean lady (manager/owner) for her service, as my wife had a number of questions about the food and drinks which she happily dealt with.
A lovely authentic Korean place. The food was amazing and to die for. The servers were extremely kind and accommodating. I only got to try the vegetarian dishes for a change but I can’t wait to try the bbq menu specially the sharers. They accept American Express so that’s always a plus. Makes a lovely place for romantic dates!
Marvellous! This is a Real Korean Restaurant in the middle of the Manchester center! Give an honorable mention to put this on top of the list of good restaurants, this is where we get proper and quality Korean cuisine, got to give props to this Korean restaurant, credit where credit is due, the staff speak native fluent Korean, and are very friendly to serve us food and drinks. The food we ordered look and tastes exactly like how they would be back in Korea. Much Appreciated the heartfelt effort showcasing the beauty and artistic approach in Korean food.
We had the beef bibimbap and kimchi pancakes. I really enjoyed them all.
The staff looked so busy but they were so helpful.
After the main meal, I had the ginger ice creams. It was 3 scoops and the real gingers were in them. I absolutely loved it!
