My family and I visited The Royal Nawaab for the first time this evening, following a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed the food was plentiful, hot, & fresh. The service was second to none. The staff could not be faulted. They were pleasant & extremely helpful & polite. A brilliant experience and we will definitely be returning. Keep up the great work 👍. I will most definitely be spreading the word about this place.

Visited here for lunch with work colleagues and was so impressed with the quality. The service is great and the team are so friendly and accommodating. I felt the food is priced fairly for the quality, presentation and ambience that you get when you visit. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Royal Nawab is the most awesome place you can visit if ur in Manchester and have a desire to feast on Nawabi muglai cuisine. For about £18 you can feast on awesome food in its buffet. It has an ample range of non veg items and I can bet you will not be able to taste all of them in your first visit. There is also a great range of variety for the vegetarians. You can really have a feast of time... if you are a foodie.
The ambience is great, but some drawbacks are u have to get your own glass of water from the bar. no jugs.
I would love to visit again to actually enjoy the rest of the buffet I missed.

Been here yesterday with family. It's really awesome place for good eaters. Starters are wide range across chick,fish,lamb... taste wise it's too good. Pls try mango lassi. Spreads are quite good & decent spread in veg too. Ice cream they need more flavour. Overall it's awesome. I will recommend family & friends for get together. Cheers...

What to say about Nawaab. Food justifies the name. You will get all you think about Afghan, Indian & Pakistani cuisine. Name it and its served. Lamb dishes were too mouth watering. Ambience was great. Seems sweet tooth fairy just landed and prep the Gajar ka halwa. One should drop by whenever visits Manchester.

I went with my wife to Nawaabs an evening buffet styled restaraunt with a large variety of asian foods (probably the largest buffet in south Manchester) the food was superb and there was a friendly atmosphere (the staff were very polite). We paid £15 per person for the buffet. Drinks are sold separately, we ordered a jug of mango lassi for £5

The buffet was primarily of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi foods. the food seemed average and generally oily. Out of all the numerous dishes, I very much enjoyed a handful only. The area was busy and large, suitable to accommodate for large events.

Very ornate entrance but beware; this place is extremely popular! Waited 40 mins to be seated and there were not a particularly large range of healthy options which can be found in Indian cooking, which is a shame. Huge variety of dishes though.
Drinks are a little pricy but the food is reasonably priced.

Excellent selection of foods and very reasonable price...Only downsides are lack of alcohol and the size of the place which can make it feel a bit like a school canteen when busy. That said though, it's well worth a visit for the food alone.

Good place to sample many Indian foods for a set buffet price per head. A lit of the food tends to taste the same when you have a bit of everything on your plate. No alcohol for sale at the bar.

Nawaab is a standout restaurant despite having a small menu and not too many things that other restaurants in the vicinity would offer. The taste of the food at Nawaab is simply regal...

The service is fast and if you're really hungry it's very worth going here since you'll not need to wait very long for your food to arrive despite the restaurant being quite busy indeed.

I absolutely adored the Haleem and Paya here which are dishes you wouldn't find in every Asian restaurant around. The highlight of their menu however is the lamb palak which you just can't get enough off no matter how many times you eat. Simply Perfect !!!!
If you're vegetarian, pakoda kadhi is quite a good option and is also something which most restaurants don't serve so if you feel like having something on the lines of kadhi... This is pretty much the place to be.

The desserts are pretty standard, save for their sheer korma which is really delicious.

Price wise it is just about the same as you'd find every other Indian / Asian restaurant so there isn't much to differentiate in that regard.

Overall
Ambiance - 3 / 5
Food - 5 / 5
Service - 4 / 5
Price - 4.5 / 5

Was totally worth flying from Dublin to Manchester just to eat at Nawab <3 It never disappoints. I just love the number of options available for everything. The quality of 90% of dishes were absolutely fresh and delicious. No doubt it isn't easy to keep 150+ dishes fresh but somehow they doing it. The toilets could have been more cleaner.

Last Sunday was my first time here and I wondered if the reality would match the hype. It did, and then some. Thank god I don't live local otherwise my cholesterol levels would surge like a NASA rocket within a week ! The variety is crazy - I only scratched the surface of the menu. You can specially request items from the chefs but I was satisfied with the ample buffet offering. Don't sidestep the Chinese section. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing. I think the best plan is a bit of everything than overloading too much on starters, mains or desserts. The only downsides were that it appeared there was a language barrier with staff, some of whom English didn't come easy. Their demeanour was friendly and used plates were quickly cleared - and I understand it wasn't easy hearing amidst the din of noise. Better provision could also have been made for tap water. To refill you have to trudge all the way to the bar area and back to your table. Some refill points closer to the tables would've been ideal. We didn't have to wait long for a table but the place was hectic even for a Sunday night. The buffet lines were like a Royal Rumble sometimes. Adult buffet prices is £26.95pp but given the food quality and choice, it was fair.

Surprised with this treat. Desi food galore. The buffet is immense! The smells from each station were phenomenal. Hot or mild, thick or thin ... Everything was incredible. It's always a good sign when the place ... And this place is enormous... Is rammed full of people who know their food. I had no expectations, but even if I had, I would have been very satisfied. If one is hungry in Manchester, you won't be by the time you roll out

We traveled for two hours from Midlands to Manchester in order to experience the buffet at Merzee, and it was definitely worth the journey. The restaurant provided a delightful ambiance and a wide variety of dishes, with special mentions going to the Hallem and Paya. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Went with family 👪, didn't have to wait long for table, interesting how you have to book table in before you go inside scan qr code, have to fill it in how many people and kids name and number, very sceptical about this, what do they do with this information, anyway, we got the for 7pm very busy, food is spot on, agree with people that recommend me this place starters are fantastic choices of food, main course could not so much, desert different storie they had apple crumble, i mean this was was thin crust pizza maybe even thinner, portion size was shocking, can't even call that apple crumble, plenty of parking 🅿 space available, would I come again probably no, to expensive for price of buffet, kids £13 quid daughter barely ate anything she only 4, £27 for adult to pricey, that's not including drinks, definitely should be in it at least glass of drink or small bottle of drink, £7 quid for Jug Pepsi

Visiting for the first time on a short trip over from Glasgow based on a recommendation, and after a long drive I wasn't disappointed! The venue itself has ample parking in a dedicated car park at the back, with a parking attendant, which was good. Upon entering, the reception interior is impressive and everything appears super sized, very airy and grand. We are guided to scan the QR code nearby and book a table. After less than a couple of minutes waiting in the opulent reception area in very comfortable seats, we are asked to go into the restaurant. For someone entering for the first time, the scale is huge and can be overwhelming (in a good way!). We are guided to a table, hungry and ready to enjoy what is on offer. The place is very busy, and it's a good sign, with a mix of groups, couples and families. The service itself is pleasant when you find someone to ask a question of, but after our first visit we will know how it operates and be fine, so for our first time it wasn't really clear on how you get started (turns out you just get stuck in!) And order drinks (went to the bar to be directed back to the table), after that it was smooth sailing. The food selection itself was vast and served every desire. I started with a nice mixed salad which was fresh and tasty, with a selection of raita and kebab sauce to accompany my starters. Both sauces were delicious. It was very busy, but I didn't spend a lot of time waiting for anything, and the business added to the ambience. The starter selection was simply superb. I could have dined all evening on the selection alone. See my photo of one of my starter plates! Every item had it's own distinct character and I'd say was of restaurant quality, which is something of contention when partaking in a self-serve/buffet experience. From the fish pakoras, the seekh kebab, the Chapli kebab, the veg and aloo pakoras, it was all magnificent. After taking a short break and enjoying some cold soft drinks, I went back for some more fish pakoras because they were so delicious, before exploring the mains on offer. I must add by this point I was feeling quite full, so I ended up sampling some of my established desi favourites: traditional naan bread, chicken karahi, lamb karahi and some saag. The naan was acceptable, but not particularly stand out compared with anything else I tried. I can understand keeping naan bread and other accompaniments like chips etc tasting as it would fresh is challenging, so I'm not scoring anything down on this basis. The curries were delicious, and similar to the starters, of restaurant quality. I noted a lot more main dishes on offer, including steaks made to order, which I was thoroughly impressed by. Will make sure to try some more variety of the mains next time I visit. Despite now being very full and satisfied, I went to sample some dessert. With lots of traditional desi options available as well as classic western options (apple pie, cheese cake etc) I opted for the gulaab jaaman with vanilla ice cream. The dessert stations were extra busy at this point, but I enjoyed ordering and joining in the busyness waiting for my dessert to be put together in the rush of what must have been another 20 people ordering or collecting desserts at the same time. The dessert was delectable and simply fantastic. Soft, flavoursome gulaab jamin coupled with creamy, rich vanilla ice cream - when done this well is untouchable. Now very satisfied, we headed out, adding this to our list of places to definitely visit when we return to Manchester. The prices were reasonable and reflective of the quality of the food and surroundings. Thanks Team Merzee!

Absolutely amazing food, usually all you can eat places dont have top quality food because there is such variety but this place was the exception. Chicken drumsticks were my favourite, all the dishes were 5 star, i have no complaints, great value for money and great atmosphere and dining experience in all. Some of the staff had sour faces but i can only expect thats because they were serving the food and not eating it.

One of the original buffet kings. Plenty of choice of starters mains and dessert. Went Christmas day, was heaving with a hour and half wait in the lobby. They tell you 20 min. Log you into an app that resets every once in a while to the start again. Was really hot and heavy atmosphere Crowded buffet area with long queues. Food is nice, not too spicy. Great selection of meat, daal and veg. Including halva chana puri and pizza. Chefs were serving fresh cooked portions from behind the buffet counter. All staff were courteous and professional. I think I prefer somewhere quieter, less heated noisy atmosphere.

What a wonderful Halal buffet in Manchester! Previously known as Royal Nawab - This place reminded me so much of my own home country. Everything was grand, you get so many options, and everything tasted amazing. Staff were extremely responsive and hard-working. I especially loved the grilled chicken wings. Pani puri and paye/nihari weren't so great, but the rest of the buffet from salads to pan asian to Pakistani/Indian food was amazing! The desserts were hot and cold both. Truly amazing place if you know how to eat properly. Water/drinks are not included in the buffet.
