Celebrated 32 years of marriage with a meal here. Excellent food - Steak braised in Guiness, jacket potato and veg followed by rhubarb and custard. Husband had pie of the day, chips and veg, followed by cheesecake and ice cream - proper good food. definitely recommend

Went for a surprise birthday party and was overwhelmed when the landlady said she had prepared vegan food specifically for me. I was just expecting to buy crisps from the bar. Lovely, traditional pub. Wonderful staff! Thank you so much!!!

The owners are amazing.
The food here is always lovely, proper home cooked comfort food and the chips are amazing, this pub is right on my doorstep and one of my first go to places for afternoon dinner out with friends. I am never disappointed. Also dog friendly too so after a long walk with my dog its nice to sit in here and recharge before heading home. The staff and the customer service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend this pub, if not for the well cooked food then for the friendly staff and the welcome you receive weather your a new customer or a regular one.
